Alternatively you can increase your intuition skill but I do not recommend this because your maximum level is 10 and most players only reach 8. This means you need your skill points for far more important things than finding useless hidden switches and passages.
It's near it but I don't recall where exactly.
SPOILER:
You can find a few of those hidden switches. If you want to find more go back to the goblin prison. There you can find two more. One doesn't work at that point of the game the other one opens a small hidden stash. And below the goblin prison (where you have fallen down from the prison) there is another hidden room but the two switches for it are not hidden and you have to find out how it works.
At some point in the game the game even play tricks on you where you see a switch and it is suppossedly useless and you need magic to find out how it works.
