Help Arx Libertatis Windows 10

Hello, I wanted to replay Arx Fantalis. Since Arx Libertatis is commonly recommended as port for modern systems I installed and ran it. The problem is that the game does not scale properly: as you can see from the attached screenshots

the images are all centered to my upper right corner and scaled horribly, in this way I cannot click on the menu an start a game. I already tried to search for fixes online: I tried to run the program in compatibility mode, install Arx Libertatis on the same folder of Arx Fatalis and also to change the cfg.ini file but none changed the situation.

Any help or suggestion is welcomed, also if you know more appropriate websites where I can have some technical help please tell me.

I managed to find a solution: as suggested by one of the messages of this discussion

I used the more recent snapshot version of Libertatis. This runs smooth without any problem so far.

It is also possible to run Arx on win10 without mod.
To do this you need to find steam.dll somewhere in your PC and put it to the Arx Fatalis directory and then run it with win XP compatibility

Ok, but I suppose that Arx Libertatis is the most convenient version of the game to play. It should include various bug fixes and improvements, right?

Arx Libertatis is based on the publicly released Arx Fatalis sources and available under the GPL 3+ license. This does however not include the game data, so you need to obtain a copy of the original Arx Fatalis or its demo to play Arx Libertatis.

I think that means Arx Libetatis is just like a launcher without fixes (except fixes of the launcher itself) or something, and not affecting the gameplay

But still I agree about "most convenient version" part. Native game runs very laggy, playable but without comfort.

Not sure I would personally use that mod. Enter the virus total metascanner results.

Just fix this game youself. Or if you cannot - write negative review. Write all issues what you get. Its best what you can do.
