Oliver's treasure hunt

Is the fatalis version bugged?
I'm at the alcove digging for the key but cannot find it.
I'm aware there's no prompt, and i've looked at a couple videos to see where it's supposed to be, but i just can't find it.
I stood there long enough to burn through 4 torches and clicked about as fast as i could, must have been a couple hundred clicks.
Still nothing.

Had to watch video's again.
The walkthrough says right click on showel for some reason, and what you have to do is press f.
After i've been conditioned to double click on items to use them in the world/with other things, this one time only i'm supposed to realize it's something i never do regarding this item, maybe doing it this way was mentioned at the beginning of the game, but in that case it's long gone from memory.
Anyways, i can't identify the ring so i wont get any benefit from it regardless...yay
