Costume bug

When my friends customize their character in the main menu screen, it doesn't carry over when i host a match. There costumes won't even be on at all? anybody else having this issue?

Aye, it's a common issue and the devs are aware of it. They've said in the patch notes and quote:

"We are aware of the problems with in-game cosmetics. We are currently working on Steam inventory. In the near future, cosmetic items will be given to you for the time spent in the game, or under other unique conditions. We do NOT plan to make paid cosmetics."

So presumably it's on their list of things to fix to some capacity, so hang tight till then. Eventually you and your friends will be able to share your half naked character skins with each other... ;P

Ok so to fix it, turns out that you can join your friends lobby, then equip your outfit or just customize, and join back to have your outfit equipped. (EDIT) Also looks like your have to have played with the host at some point previously. If it's your first game then it might not work right away idk though my group JUST found this out.
