Cogs/Upgrades feel too rare after latest update

I've been working on getting one of the last achievements (upgrade all Kletka systems to 5), and after this latest update it feels entirely RNG and very frustrating. Even fully exploring every floor just doesn't necessarily give you enough cogs to upgrade each system to level 5 before the game ends. I'm breaking the cracked walls, staying past Samosbor when there's a bulkhead door to hide behind, and still. The Kletka skipping ~10 floors (and often a shop) multiple times a run doesn't help either. it feels very frustrating because it can take a long time to fully explore every level and still not get enough cogs.

RNG takith and givith, I found two cogs next to each-other, other times you can easily go past multiple floors and not find one. The Kletka suddenly racing past shops - repeatedly - doesn't help. As it is a demo, I wouldn't worry too much about getting all achievements.
