Endings?
How many endings are there?

I have:
- The Bad End from going home
- The Bad End from bringing the other girls
- The True End

And one other question. Is there a correct choice of rune? I took all three, and it didn't seem to protect Kat at all.

Would you mind telling me how you got them?

As the end of every ending (Aside of the one going home) seems to result in geting everyone killed i didn´t really payed much attention of the ending names (would be nice to have some sort of overview what ends have been achived and how many it gives at the end.

Tried also different apporaches of the whole thing like putting the scissors back after they had no further use (cus they could count as a weapon), lockpicked the normal looking door instead of using the key, etc.)

In the end everyone seems to be doomed to die no matter what you try so that i would consider the ending where Kat simply goes home more like an "Happy End" rather then a "Dead End"

Pretty sure what they mean by "Dead End" is that the Ending is a literal "Dead" end where it isn't what going to officially follow behind Chapter 1. Only the True Ending, which is "True End K1: Curiosity Killed the Kat" change the save file from "Prologue: _____" to "Paper Lily: Chapter 1".

True End K1: Curiosity Killed the Kat (IMO, its a Bad End)
Do Ritual Alone (You can either befriend Saki, Juli, and Kaya, but do not bring them to the Ritual)
The Route is straightforward after that

Dead End K2: Code Kat Feet (IMO, its a Good End)
Leave the School without doing the Ritual at all

Dead End K3: Academical Spiral (IMO, its a Bad End)
“Leave” the School “during” the Ritual second objective

Dead End K4: Nevermind Forever (IMO, its a Bad End)
Leave the School immediately after grouping up

Dead End K5: Party Wipe (IMO, its a Bad End)
Do Ritual with the group

Dead End K6: Snip Snip (IMO, its a Good(?) End)
Cut all of the “happy green plants” in the classroom after grouping up

Dead End K7: Girl's Night out (IMO, its a Good End)
Group up and start the Ritual second objective, but do not finish it. Head towards the storage room on the bottom left. Pick the door open and enter. The path on the right side will be available during the second objective (If you enter the storage room before the second objective, the storage room will be inaccessible).

Dead End K8: My Way (IMO, its a Bad End)
This route is the same as True End, but after doing the Ritual, ignore the “voice” and don’t stray from the path after opening the door on the stairs. More-or-less speed through everything.

I understand the intention the dev had with the naming but translated into other languages (like German in my case) it has an double meaning like "End of the road" or literrally "End of the life" in this games case even if the dialog mentions that Kat still is alive and all traces of th ritual (notes, preps, etc.) have vanished and could not be found again.

So maybe less a happy ending and more a "good ending"

As prologue the game is nicely done i must say and i hope that the maingame will give more "impact" to the decisions that are made rather then "no matter what you try the result will be the same anyways" aka your choice doesn´t matter at certain points of the game.

As mentioned i put the scissors away cus it could count as a weapon and according to the letter you should not bring weapons or they will as well. No matter if with or without scissor it has no impact so the option to put it away feels pointless in compare to doing the ritual solo vs. doing it with the group.

I'm pretty sure the dev meant it as one of that double meaning. Specifically "End of the road", since that some of the "Dead End" doesn't end in Kat's death.
"Dead End K2: Code Kat Feet", "Dead End K4: Nevermind Forever", "Dead End K6: Snip Snip", and "Dead End K7: Girl's Night Out" are the three "Dead End" that ends in Kat getting out alive.
"K2: Code Kat Feet" being that she leave without doing the Ritual, "K4: Nevermind Forever" being that you immediately leave the school with the girls, "K6: Snip Snip" being that you made the three girls disgusted about Kat causing them to leave and making Kat leave alone as well, and "K7: Girl's Night Out" being that Kat left the school with the girls and that they become friend.
Only "K5: Party Wipe" is the ending where you know for sure that Kat is killed, while "K3: Academical Spiral" and "K8: My Way" ends in her being trapped, which might as well mean that she dies as well.

For the scissors, it does mention on the item that they're too dull to cause any harm, so I figured they didn't really count as a weapon

Yea, but the fact that Kat could return the scissor back to its spot should've done something, and was a bit disappointed that it didn't.
It would've been fine if it didn't let us put it back, but the fact that it can feel like a missed opportunity for another ending they could've added.

+ even the dullest knife (or scissor in this case) can be used as a weapon. So it would have been a chance for another ending or two impacted by the factor if you have the scissor with you or not[/quote]

Exactly, when I was searching for the "8" endings blindly, I first thought that there was an ending about the scissor and that the "slashing" sound during "K5: Party Wipe" sounds oddly like a blade, which is why I thought there was a different (most likely bad ending) ending if I didn't bring the scissor and that Kat, Saki, Juli, and Kaya might either in a different way, or ended up being trap in the "other realm".

The Voice in the True ending tells Kat that she was essentially tricked. Following the rules does _not_ protect her from anything. The only thing that was important was transportation - "opening the road". Everything else? Nothing but lies.
Switching the hair doesn't change anything too - you can't "cheat" your way out of ritual by sending another girl.
Personally, I see the Voice as a supernatural anglerfish.

P.S. Or, maybe, the most important thing was locking the doors - to prevent TPK.

Don't think anyone said anything about the hair, just only that bringing or putting the scissor back to it's original location should've been an extra ending.
As for what trigger the ritual, other than closing the curtain and setting the classroom, the chalked path and the candles are the one that triggers the ritual.
Kat can leave the school at any point before the second objective, but the moment she drew the first chalked path or placed the candles, the school already changed and trap her (And the other girls (if you haven't grouped up with them) already left (or simply vanished).

What's the key from storage room can be used for? Didn't find any locks
