AND WE ARE LIVE!!!!!
Welcome to the new age of The PIt everyone!!! The Pit2 Early Access has begun and we welcome your support and input because there is only a future with you guys;)

WHERE WE ARE:
This could be considered an early beta start where the focus is on mechanics and function with visual refinements running on a lower priority for awhile. The goal here will to be achieving the full play experience while slowly adding in the full equipment and monsters from the initial Pit and combining them with the new mechanics The Pit 2 has to offer.

CONTENT:
Right now we are sitting about 50% monsters and around 40% in terms of items and props. If you have opinions on how something works when it arrives in the game, then please speak up as soon as possible as that will be the best way to get a consensus.
Speaking of consensus, the Message System is currently locked out as we are still gathering your input in terms of decoding and recipe distribution. And that brings us to Crafting which is fully functional but limited due to said message system changes and refactoring some of the classics. As it is you have your initial recipes as well as the ability to deconstruct items into their base components and then use those to build critical components you might be missing.
And finally, our beloved SotsPedia is scheduled for later in development. So hang in there but feel free to make suggestions on how you would like the newest version to function.


HOW LONG WILL WE BE IN EA?
Ahhh this question is very much a no right answer situation. Any answer we give will trigger some people to say "no way you can make it" and others to say "too long!" So for now lets say "When its ready" and that we would like to be out of EA in much less than a year;)

DEVELOPMENT PLAN:
You can expect at least an update a week. More often here at the start and slowing somewhat as we approach endgame and the tasks get bigger and more complex. Every Monday we will Post a briefing message detailing what was accomplished during the previous week and what's on the table for the current week. We will also be checking in and answering posts every day so feel free to post knowing it will be read.

Organization
Since this is a working Early Access as opposed to simple PR ;) We are going to need a lot of interaction with you folks and that means a lot of reading and staying on top of things for us. And to help this we are going to try and keeping specific areas for specific things.

GENERAL DISCUSSION- Ideally this area should be used for big game concept discussions....Like "Would it be more fun if all props were replaced by Wish Genies?" or "How fast should the Pit present better repaired levels?"

FEEDBACK- This ares should be for dialed in likes/hates/problems while you are playing. I have started a few broad topics to help us corral problems that need tuning.

BUGS- Hello Bugs our old friend! Here is where you report crashes and super weirdness. And please, try to be as technical as possible and as non-dramatic as possible here. And if you can give us steps to recreate your problem, that will speed things up by an order of magnitude.


If we can all try to stick to this loose organisation plan, it will really help this small team to deliver the game we all want at the end of EA.

Spreading the word that this is released into EA, definitely needs a bit more exposure as I'd have missed it completely but for an off-hand mention in a Turn-based Tactics community thread.

Please make everything destructible again like it was in SOTS:The PIt 1!!!!
Also, please make traps appear in your inventory when you successfully disarm them!

I'm super excited. I've spended hundreds of hours in the pit and I hope I will spend even more in the pit 2.
