Helpful Tips! Jerry can, air pump , collecting money , chainsaw etc

So with 7 hours game time I have. I found few fixs for the bugs in-game. Hope this helps some people out.

-Jerry can/ filling up truck: Go to gas station. Open the fuel cap on truck or Jerry cap pressing "E". Now pick up fuel pump nozzle press "E" (you dont need to press anything when filling) angle the nozzle down wards into Jerry can once you right you'll hear fuel pumping noise. (There is no line indication like MSC this includes oil, air, etc) With the truck I found standing up with nozzle downwards angle and putting mostly in the tray around the filling opening works you'll need to found the sweet spot and you'll hear the pumping noise. It will stop on it's own. Once you found it easy after that. Yes it can be frustration as ♥♥♥♥ lol (btw if filling with the Jerry can to the truck you don't need to open the Jerry can lid. Just rotate upside down put into fuel opening of the truck pretty much inside the tray make sure to open truck fuel cap first.

-Picking up money: Press "E" to pick it up, then press the "middle mouse button". Seems to work every time for me. I found pressing "E" then "I" it cause it do werid glitches. If pressed "I" before middle mouse it still bugs out still.

-Pumping up tyres: Now this took me awhile to work out. Flipping the truck twice too haha. Go to gas station you'll see red air pump next to the fuel pump. Before picking up the air line flick the little switch on right side towards the gas station by pressing "E". Pick up the air line "E". Now holding down "right mouse click" move up to tyre either side slowly. Works best outer edge of rubber tyre. Make sure you are crouched too. Then should hear air pumping noise. Don't put air outlet into the tyre, have it just off the tyre. Makes no sense but it works XD

-Chainsaw filling: Fuel for it is in the gas station. 2 stroke fuel bottle. Now it helps to have chainsaw off the ground either on back your tray door or the hood of the car or any other level standing height. Open the fuel cap press "E". Get the bottle rotate it upside down (don't worry nothing comes out). Put it over chainsaw fuel opening then sightly in the chainsaw should heard pouring in. Once stop hearing noise. Close chainsaw cap, start that ♥♥♥♥♥ up.

-Chainsaw, Jack, Jerry can falls throw the world: Quickly press "shift+P" together. You can recover it. It won't always appear in lost and found. If that doesn't work reload the game it comes back.

-You rolled your truck and it's all banged up how to fix: Save the game and reload it. All dents will be gone. Sure later on the welder gonna be used for dent removal but not in the game atm.

-Engine parts: Now if like me buying parts for a full engine rebuild. Laying them nicely on the workshop bench waiting till had enough money to get all parts to do it one hit. DON'T do it! If you quit game and reload the game all the parts will disappear along money just spend on them. It's a bug that sure will be fixed soon. Just wait till got enough money for all parts buy them all and fit to the engine before leaving the game.

-Engine rebuilt: Now this is really annoying at some points not gonna lair haha. Some parts won't come off. I found make sure every other part can takem off do it. Once you get to say piston 2 and 3. Make sure every part connects to them is off. (Make sure every bolt loose even going over it 4 times helps) Includes cutch, fly wheel etc. Stick your head into motor and press "Q" and spamming "right mouse click" moving around and swearing at it. It will come out. Kinda like real life if you ever worked on motors alot. Swearing drinking beer at all hours of the night haha. This process for any other part does come off. But different for everyone. Sometimes bugs out completly too. Dev on to it.

-4 Cylinder engine refit to truck: Now this is 50/50 to do. Make sure to save the game before doing it!! I couldn't found any information on this. Must of just been me having the issues. Without damaging the truck. Once you take it off the engine stand for some reason it picks it up from the back of the motor not the front. If anyone has found a way to pick it up from the front let me know :P. Please dev put an engine crane in the game! Once got the engine in your little red hot hands. Go to truck (make sure truck it's outside of the building it can bounce around and fly in the air) Hood is open. Jump backwards into engine bay with the engine up wards crouch at same time then you should fall in engine bay. Still backwards slowly back up into the cab. Don't go to far just so you can see centre console move little left or right should see the green tick. Ready to bolt in. Haven't done the V8 yet.

Update from fellow steam supporter Staquix. This tip does work better - My trick for mounting the 4 banger is to crouch in front of the truck and walk it in. I found that crouching will let you clip through the body work to get to parts in the engine bay. Once I start clipping through the grill with the motor in hand I get the green check. The motor is backwards in my hands but the check shows up regardless of the rotation of the engine. If you are crouched inside the engine bay clipped in to the body work DO NOT release the C button as it will flip the truck or send it flying.

-Back up your save file every time you save: Save file location is: "C:/Users/Username/AppData/LocalLow/Bush League/JunkyardTruck". Copy the folder save it some where you know. Helps to re name just so you know what day or money etc. Then replace just copy whats in folder to back in game folder. Make sure game quit game before replacing. You don't need quit to back up tho. This just helps if game bugs out or lose parts or money. Remeber still in early access game!

- This game will cook old pcs: If got some old potato it wont run will. Anything older then 2000 series Nvidia card (AMD equivalent) you'll found not to have good frame rate. Be honest tho its way outdated in today's times. Even with intel 12700k, 32GB memory and 3090 it runs 120 frames tho it was at 90% gpu usage, Vram 5-7GB, 30% CPU and memory at 14-16GB. Frame locked at 60 fps runs at 50% gpu usage now. Yes it's not optimize game but its no AAA game developer either. If fails to load or takes ages to load. Update driver or computer ;) If it does fail to load then refund easy... Or ask developer for help on your system specs he might able patch it up. On discord


If anyone has any good tips or ones I have missed post here to help out new players out. I more then welcome to answer questions I know. To new players that have never played games similar to this. After having over 500 hours in My summer car this game is a walk in park haha. Please remember this game is early access and there still gonna be a lot bugs and these type of games don't hold your hand. Google is your friend. I'm really enjoying this so far. Always wanted MSC with a 4x4. Awesome job dev! Updates are quite frequent too! Keep it up! Happy junkyard trucking!

Where do i find the oil that i bought? Its nowhere to be found. Same with coolant, and I can`t connect the fan clutch...

Once you payed for the oil/coolant just pick up from the self. Doesn't go into the shopping bag. Tighten up the bolt before putting fan clutch on. It just clicks on no bolts. Make sure buy new one cause old one is no good give you overheating issues

So tire inflation actually works? I was wondering why my truck handles like a Porsche on ice.

Was there any cursor indication that you found the right spot? Was there a spot that seemed most effective? (inner circle, lug nuts, rubber wheel, etc.)

Once I start clipping through the grill with the motor in hand I get the green check. The motor is backwards in my hands but the check shows up regardless of the rotation of the engine. If you are crouched inside the engine bay clipped in to the body work DO NOT release the C button as it will flip the truck or send it flying.

Can`t pump the tires - no matter what i try, flip the switch, nothing happens.
Plus, where the f*** do I sell logs ?

Air in the tires.... keep screwing with it. It'll start working and you may or may not see why. (Nothing against you. It started working for me and I'm uncertain how or why.)

The logs are up the hill to the right (west?) of the race starting line.

The tires never need air unless you actually deflate them.

The second you load your game they are pre-filled to their max psi of 25
Buy new tires and mount them? Filled to 25psi

There is a air gauge to check tire pressure
The air compressor doesn't work when your air pressure is max

#6 is your air gauge .. Click RMB and get a reading. Hold RMB and delfate the tires

Go to the air compressor.. turn it on.. grab the hose.. go to tire.. aim at tire.. pressure RMB .. tire inflates.

I'll updated when got time. But side wall rubber did it for. Outer rubber wall

What tires? Maybe different tires have different pressures? A lot of things in this game don't seem to have a lot of info and we are still finding that out.

I cannot fill the truck up using the Jerry can for the life of me ive double triple checked that the jerry can is filled and ive tried like 100 different positions to fill the truck
