[SPOILERS] Some story questions
Hello. Finished this game yesterday, really loved it.

I feel like I understand the story well enough, but have a few questions, moreso about themes than events.

Lila's Influence
There's a couple people that have knowledge of Lila that I'm uncertain about- namely the Janitor, and the Waitress.

They couldn't have been part of the original tulpamancy group, as Strupnev says that it's only him and Will left. The Janitor I could understand as maybe knowing about Lila because of his constant proximity to The Boiler Room. The Waitress too, I guess, is also around a lot of steam? It is a cafe.
I don't understand what steam is meant to symbolize, though.

Also, in the Martha endings, before she's killed, she gets a glimpse of Lila, mistaking her for Tanya. This is as she's panicking, before any attack has occurred. Not sure what causes this, or if it's a trick.

The Stranger

Who is The Stranger? It's obviously akin to Will, in the same way that Lila is to Tanya. The only thing I can think of is that The Stranger is composed of other peoples' vision of Will- a silent loner, weird, bad at conversation. Will's the only person seen interacting with The Stranger though, as far as I know- and it was in his own mind. The only other time that somebody interacts with The Stranger is at the end of The Lovers, to my knowledge.

The Sunshine Cafe

Less thought put into this question- I'm not sure what is being said by having the only direct connection to The Sunshine Cafe be from Tanya's Twitter. It could just be a way of telling the player that they're too invested in solving the mystery, but it feels like there should be more there. Like, why Tanya specifically?

I haven't fully completed the game yet- I haven't revealed myself as Lila , nor talked to Wheelium yet. Apologies if those paths answer these questions.

the waitress and janator
your guess is as good as anyone's for the janitor. i've seen a lot of discussion envisioning him as some kind of servant for the empress. nothing in game suggests any solution, though.

the waitress, though...... she isnt human. the cafe isnt in the real world. the cafe is outside of time and space, like yu's office (and a red room in another universe,) and the people who work there are something like "minor dwellers."

martha's vision
yea, even lila does not know that one. garage heathen may have had an intention with that one, but no entity in the game is aware of it.

the stranger
yea, there's been a lot of back and forth on that one. people have suggested that the stranger is what's left of will's mother, or a reflection of will's perception of her. other people have suggested that the stranger is some aspect of will's own unconscious mind. there's not a clear answer in the game. maybe the stranger is the mystery of who the stranger is?

the sunshine cafe
it's more of an easter egg than anything else. yet another reference to twin peaks. there is the possibility that the location gets expanded on in future games. after all, the forest of 1000 sycamores started as a not very expanded upon concept in "the amazing t-gotchi."

no, i do not recall either of those things touching on the things you've brought up here.
