Not sure I'm playing it right...

So I got thrown off the roof and wake up in a sort of dream hospital, climb a few floors and see some dialog, then enter a room with flapping curtains and pass into an outdoor space with a projector. I have gotten two different "endings" by steering the boat into the electric current but I can't seem to progress further. Do I have to start the whole game over or am I missing something?

a boat trip is also an ending, so after that you are thrown into the menu and you need to wake up again to continue playing. Yes, the game will start over, but this is part of the gameplay, if I understood your question correctly

Ahhh okay thank you. "Wake up" does draw some attention to the possibility of restarting but it wasn't clear to me that replaying from the start was part of the experience rather than just me getting stuck on a puzzle or encountering a bug...

to be clear, the game just has one "scenario," you're meant to replay it and navigate to the many potential endings.
