I wouldn't personally call the game scary. I would call it more disturbing and unsettling. So I personally say play it at night for the full experience.

if you can watch twin peaks at night, you should be fine.

I’ve played rusty lake games so kinda familiar with twin peaks. is this similar to it coz i know this game is a bit david lynch

i played a little last night. and i forgot to go to the mirror so its confusing a bit lol

In an odd way, this is one of the scariest games I've ever played.
But it is not exactly intended to directly scare you.

there's a discussion to be had about horror vs fear. things can fill you with feelings of horror and dread, even if they do not scare you and directly cause fear.

there is only one jumpscare scene the other horror elements are well planned and well executed

there are two things that could qualify as a jumpscare to me, the animation that plays when you fail a chase segment, and a quick flash as the end of the murder sequence.

It's not like FNAF scary like the other posts say, so nothing will pop out at you but it is still scary in it's own way.

I didn’t really feel scared by the game, just sadness for William, lol
