Feedback List
Hello community, we have been collecting your feedback over the last weeks and discussed it. I want to let you know the outcome here in this list. I will update this list each time something new happens or will be decided. I want to make clear, that even though we might have decided to go for several points, we still have to figure out if it technically works, so they are not yet 100% confirmed. Nontheless we want you to know that your feedback is taken seriously by us. Please continue posting your feedback here, so we can have a look at it in our team. Bug fixing is not implemented here as this is done constantly in the background.

- ESC button for UI navigation
- undo/redo function
- Optimize Buy menu
- Maps with pre-laid routes --> Can be implemented as selectable save games
- In-game chat
- more details in props menu (what is it exactly, colors)
- more camera positions

:steamhappy: still needs to be discussed further in the team:
- Possibility to buy tenders seperately
- Server host name beside the save name
- option to rotate items with a variable angle
- Remote control --> we will discuss the options in further detail
- allow the binding of track or other game elements to the numerical keys for quick access
- Light in lanterns, industries, in general more light sources --> Can be implemented, the effect to the performance still has to be checked.
- Character customization --> we will discuss the options in further detail
- Tunnels --> Are planned but no date by now
- Help props for industry placing like wood plates, stone walls, gravel roads or a platform --> has to be discussed in detail in the team, which ones are needed, how should they look like and so on.
- Maintenance menu, where you can change paint schemes, writings etc. afterwards
- Selling locos / buy used ones cheaper
- More bridge types / higher bridges
- Air brake upgrades/native support on certain rolling stock
- Land based sawmill
- Passengers (also the ability to bring workers to industries as an "inpput" to star/increase work and possible output)
-sitting position in the loco, look out of the window option when operating the train.
- Sounds (birds, trees, church bell, cab chatter for John (e.g. numpad 0-9 saying making say John things like "All aboard"...)
- feature where a save maintains whether a headlight is on or a door/ window is open.

:steamsad: as for now we don't plan to implement these features but that does not mean never:
-Would be nice to have a half wall track for sections such as at switches and where’s there a mountain on one side
- "Toggle Run" Keybinding
- add WYE switches and other switch types
- Would be nice to choose how many spawn tracks there is like a6 spot spawn a3 spot spawn and so forth at some point would make it easier to connect to the railroad using one spawn track instead of 3 for example
- Interlocking towers which throw switches in a certain radius
- Would it be possible to add in the extra slots on tank engines, so we can have name, number AND company displaying?
- Unused links get removed when shutting down a game --> We plan a "quality of life" update where small issuel like those shall be resolved
- People props - will not be implemented now as we dont have animated props by now
- A guide for sign usage - not planned for now, maybe later add to Wiki
- uranium mines - not planned for now, maybe later when other planned industries are implemented
- Pond as prop for sawmill possible
- Reintroduce tree cutting costs + water, coal and wood consumption should be more realistic --> we will discuss an option for setting levels for this features
- Provide a internet site where players can provide their save games
- Terrain cutting
- Different segments for bridges (2 at least)
- make the trigger area for switches larger above the switch itself. (when two switches are connected to eachother it is very common that you trigger the wrong one. this has launched a locomotive more than once for me)
- Rail cutting tool (instead of having to delete the entire one)
- Flags for front of the train like Montezuma
- Ability to adjust the height of the buildings
- adapt chuffing noices at Lima
- Show which branch the host /server is in you want to join
- different widths for ballast of splines
- Endless firewood - does the firewood depot still make sense? Balance the firewood availability should be set.
- Maybe we might be able to use the small tank car as a remote water car and could have a pushcart for the pump car
- option to zoom in with mousewheel while placing props or rails
- store house for ressoureces (freight)
- Money transfer in between players, money setup (like loaning, selling...)
- Zoom function

:steamthis: User Feedbacks that have been implemented:
- Move spawn point for bought locos and rolling stock
- having area for rerailing train highlighted
- adding a trainstation and a roundhouse
- Difficulty levels for more realistic game play (wheel slips, consumption, firewood...)
- prelaid track on loading ramps or any other help to place track correctly
-automated linking of splines to unloading ramp
- Knuckle couplers
- For Map update - create a map with hight information
- Show amount of products in industries on map --> will be checked with Map update
- Snow builds up with snowfall
- Activate fly mode in general, not only by placing industries --> check when and where to activate the flymode
- Greenlight/redlight ground when trying to place sthg --> planned for Spline update
- Information why splines etc. are not placable in certain places--> A player feedback is planned as part of the spline update
- Surveyor Tool for track placement
- Keybinds for -> Reverser
- Keybinds for -> Brake
- Telegraph lines perfomance --> performance update was implemented on 01. Oct 2023
- View distance of client in MP is too little --> optional settings were implemented on 01. Oct 2023 (100m-250m-500m)
-Add Montezuma with lightsource at the starter menu - Betsy and Montezuma at Lake Valley with light now (05. oct. 2023)
- Quit confirmation when leaving a session --> a request, if you really want to leave the session was implemented (13. nov 23)
- Mouse sensitivity - can be adapted now under controls - camera sensitivity (13. nov 23)
- FAQ was created (nov 23)
- Possibility to delete saved games in the menu (13. nov 23)
December 2023:
- Line up in graphics menu --> will be implemented with the next update
- Information about how much water is in the tank and in the tender --> will be implemented, either in the UI or in the F-menu or in both
- FOV (field of view) adaption for wide monitors
- make telegraph lines snap to the poles like the spines snap to each other
