The Uintah mallet has been teased as a locomotive for the game. It had a silhouette in one of the update announcements late last year (when we got the new turntable). So we know the it’s coming, just not when.
Im not sure if they actully exist, but I remember a trainz 2006 mod i have being a 30inch gauge 2-6-6-2 mallet that isnt a tank engine, and id love to see it ingame.
30” gauge ≠ 36” gauge
Equipment of different gauges won’t be added to the game.
Uintah 50/51 will be in the game eventually though.
They had their tenders added by the Sumpter Valley Railway. That railway converted them from coal to oil, which necessitated the change to tenders. While the factor of adhesion does change as tank locomotives consume water and fuel, that had very little to do with the addition of tenders.
i know that, but i think it would be cool if a similar type of locomotive was added to the game. 3ft gauge mallet with tender.
that would be really cool
The Uintah engines had tenders added when they went to Sumpter Valley. It would be awesome if both configurations were eventually available.
