Report a translation problem
For automatic couplers you just place the coupling bar into the tender and bump the engine into it. No need for a pin here (in fact, using the right mouse button here will just open the coupler again).
For link and pin coupler you put the coupler bar into the tender, bump the engine into it and put a pin just at the engine.
Things you never do with a tender: Placing a link into the engine and/or setting a pin at the tender.
