Impossible to Fill Oil Tankers at Refinery
This definitely needs some work!

I have the bottom main valve cracked at 2%

Even with just 2% cracked, the tanker valves fill the tankers way too fast, you wind up spilling more oil than you put in the tanker.

Space bar does not work! it moves the fill arm out on the opposite side of the dock.

I have no choice but to use railroad.studio to "fill" the tankers.

I'm going to report this as a bug.

I tend to keep an eye on how much oil is going into a tanker by looking at at least one of the tankers to get an idea. You have to really keep an eye on it now, which I don't mind when it's the water well but the oil well's different.
The bottom value by the stairs allows the flow of oil, however you can control the oil by using the valves on the spouts themselves.

There are 5 valves

- main on by the stairs
- 4 valves at each spout

Use the spout valves to monitor oil going into the cars.

I don't think they're talking about how you control it, they're talking about the speed of loading.
Thanks for an absolute fantastic game, Goku.

I will give this more tries. Sometimes there are knacks in this game and you just have to figure out what they are. I started playing this game the week it was introduced, never had any problems until the speed was increased 10x.

I understand that, but they state that they have the bottom valve by the stairs opened, no clarification on if they are shutting the oil off by using that same valve or using the one by the stairs, if the ladder then that is a waste too because you are dropping goods to spend the time to run down the stairs to turn off the supply rather than use the control on the spout.
I give up. You have to look down towards the tank car to monitor the drops of oil, by the time it gets full and you close the valve 10 or 12 extra drops have spilled. Until the bug is fixed I have no other choice but to "fill" the crude oil tankers with railroad.studio.
Try to work on your handvalve speed.
Iam close a valve from 100 % to 0% in one second.
When klick you must move your mouse faster, so they valve closed automatically.

Its teh same like the handbrakes on cars or engines.
Tried that, and everything else. Does not work. Wind up spilling too much oil. Developers need to fix the bug.
I've not had any issues filling the tankers, they still work just like they always have. Not a bug from where I see it.

line the tankers up so that the actual spout is under the dome. Oil is the one thing you can't just "fly-by load".

I have been playing this game since the first week it was released. Alignment is not the problem. The oil goes in the tanker, it just fills too fast. The time between monitoring the filling of the tanker, which requires looking down, to pointing to the valve to close it spills out several drops of oil. The whole procedure needs work. It shouldn't be this touchy. Developers should acknowledge that this is a bug and fix it, otherwise it might drive newer players away.

Wait at the bottom valve not the top ones; Bottom valve controls the top ones

Tried that, bottom valve too touchy. Fills the tankers too quickly and spilled twice the oil because both top valves were open.
The only thing I found that "sort of" works is filling with the space bar from the cab. I say "sort of" because the tankers must be spotted on the correct side of the cat walk. I haven't had a chance to thoroughly test -- as usual, ran out of iron ore and pipes.

Yea I checked this today and no changes were made to how fast oil loads, I also did not have any issues loading.
