you are the first person I've seen in these "discussions" to win the "no such thing as bumpers in 1800s" argument.
We really need this, as well as the ability to snap crossover and switch pieces from ANY of their end points - I'd like to be able to snap the turnout end of a switch to track rather than do a bunch of messing around with snapping switch, snapping 90 crossover as placeholder, delete switch, snap switch to 90 to turn it the other direction, delete 90, and so on and so on. Give a button to cycle through the 3 or 4 endpoints. It's not important with the 90, but would be with shallow turnouts that have different angles (45 and 135, etc.)
That, or the ability to lay track over one another and automatically generate a custom crossover or switch.
