Tutorial 1 broken
Not only is the tutorial painful to perform, but it is impossible to complete... coal tower fills the tender, but tutorial fails to progress.

Tried this multiple times and it fails completely.

Not a good sign and zero incentive to keep trying as I can't even find how to light a fire.

Horrible first experience

Well if you're starting a new game, all you have to do is click-drag to open the firebox door, then left-click up to five times on the firewood(all starter locos have wood, no coal until later in the game), then right-click on the open firebox to throw the wood in and start heating up your boiler. You don't have to do the tutorial to start playing.

Hello, the tutorial bug is known on default branch. If you switch to beta branch its solved there. We just cannot copy the beta to default branch at them moment due to several bugs there.

yeah took me 10 minutes of digging through here to find this AFTER i made a post, look im not sure whats going on here, but you have an early access game with 3 different branches, i shouldnt have to go through this at the beginning of BUYING a new game, and have to dig through the discussions to find out the game is literally unplayable as purchased and downloaded, if your default branch is broken then remove it this is unacceptable period. if i cant buy the game and start playing, YOU have something to fix, especially when NOWHERE in the description does it say this, AND you all know the bug... FIX THE BUG dont copy the beta FIX THE BUG or stop calling yourselves "devs" i want to recall a comment i saw on another post in here about some odd looking reviews that appear to be review farming.... sus as heck... im very much considering a refund based on what ive typed here, and, if there was a way, i would choose to have my money back and keep the game for the sake of the inconvenience to myself.
im not a happy engineer right now. absolutely unacceptable

Beta. This is the time where bugs get worked out. Should have been around a year or so back. That was an ugh for sure.

Trying to do the tutorial 3 times before I come on here to find out it dosn't work sucks. That the community attacks the new player for pointing this out instead of helping is worse.

There should have been a pinned post at the top of the discussion informing new people that the tutorial is broken so that information would be easy to find instead of me having to dig in the comments. Bad first impression of the game, and the community.

Hello, sorry for your experience. We have a bug thread where everything is listed. This bug will is not existing anymore on our Beta Branch but we could not yet push the Beta version to the main branch due to different crashing bugs. They are all resolved now and after the next hotfix on Beta branch for the latest update, we plan to push the latest version on Main Branch Monday next week.

I hate to say it, but it really is a pity that people get so upset when they are in the wrong, if you had paid attention when doing the coaling tower part of the tutorial, you might have thought to pull the shoot all the way down rather then just to the point the coal starts to drop, once you realise the task isnt progressing.

The fact the the orange bubble doesnt progress from lower the shoot should have been a big enough give away

I never really completed the tutorials. I got stuck on filling up the sand dome because I couldn't reach it, so I hopped in Betsy, attempted to couple to the flatcar only to push it back and derail it in the engine house, and started going forward. I had forgotten to take off her brake, so when I did, she went skyrocketing straight to the buffer. Then I quit and just moved on to the real game.

It's really a shame that the sand domes have to be so high up. Now whenever an engine of mine runs out of sand(one hasn't yet, but it will), I'll just buy a new one.
