RailroadsOnline Extended (RROx) is a third-party tool for Railroads Online (RO).

RailroadsOnline Extended (RROx) provides an in-game minimap, with the ability to remotely control switches and locomotives. In addition, RROx allows you to teleport to various locations and trigger autosaves, along with view the location of rolling stock, players, and industries along with their storage amounts.

Additionally, RROx supports/runs both the default map, and any moved industries maps as well. RROx Sessions/Maps can also be shared as URLs/links for others to view and/or be able to interact with the running game.

The various features of RailroadsOnline Extended (RROx) are installed/updated using RROx Plugins (which are installed/updated/removed from within RailroadsOnline Extended (RROx) itself. These are configurable by the host of the session/game/save from within RROx.

How to get RROx?:
RailroadsOnline Extended (RROx) can be downloaded from the RROx Website below. The entire RROx repository and code is viewable on GitHub.

Additionally, others are welcome to review the RROx Plugin documentation should they wish to contribute towards RROx.

How to use RROx:

• The Host of the Railroads Online (RO) Session/Game/Save should attach RROx Locally once the Railroads Online (RO) session is running.
  
• Clients (non-hosts) should attach their RROx to one of the RROx URLs/links provided by the Host.

Note: RROx Hosts are able to share either of 2 shareable RROx connection links/urls once they have attached RROx to their Railroads Online (RO) Session/Game/Save.

• Public URL: Only allows players to view the map. (No interaction/controls)
  
• Private URL: Allows players to interact with RROx normally

Old thread but always relevant regardless...I can't run rrox as administrator without getting an error. But it runs just fine for me running as a regular Windows User. I find the program invaluable as a solo player wanting to multitask and run several trains at once.

Nah they ain't what they used to be.. Maybe new management..? Not sure.

RROx needs to be running at the same permission level as the game.
-If the game is running as a normal user level; then run RROx as the normal user level.
-If the game is running as admin; then run RROx as admin as well.

Any other issues/questions can be brought up on the RROx Discord.

Not sure what you mean by this. --> RROx is still run by Tom (he even did the last set of RROx Updates).

Additionally, RROx has always been open source and anyone can add/update RROx Plugins (which are all reviewed by Tom before being made live for everyone else).

Question, when will you update to the newest version of the game? I just tried for the past 30 minutes to get this running on the newest version, until I realized that the name of the program isn't that arr.... thing anymore like the RROx is saying, but just railroads online. it also does not help that none of the dll injectors work for me, I tried to download like 5 different ones, first the one recommended by you, which I was not even able to download, after that I tried looking up some more injectors, I managed to download two, but neither of them worked at all, one did not do anything when I clicked it, and the other opened a console that just closed as soon as I touched anything on my keyboard. I tried to download some more, but the one that was the top result on git hub was forcing me to pay like 30$ for a subscription on another site to even be allowed to see the whole post and download the file.

The Game (Railroads Online) has not updated since Tue, December 19, 2023 (the RRO Game Developers have been hard a work since then, see their upcoming releases); RROx was updated later the same day to work with the Unreal 5.3 version (deployed with said game update). --> So to answer your first question, it already does attach to the current version of the game.

Second item sounds like you're downloading things from other places, instead of the RROx Website.

Third, the RROx Github Repository (https://github.com/tom-90/RROx) is public and can be viewed without paying. Additionally, the installer isn't on the Github to my knowledge.


This really sounds like you're either doing sketchy things instead of following the Official RROx Website (which includes the download link); or trying to deface the hard work of a number of different folks by discrediting RROx.

However, please reach out via the RROx Discord should neither of the above apply and you're still having trouble after using the Official RROx site.

I did download the official RROx version, the thing I was trying to do were the things that the RROx program was instructing me to do, which is install a dll injector if the auto attach option does not work, and to manually inject the dll into the game, if you are saying that this RROx version is indeed for the newest version of Railroads Online, than there is either something wrong with my pc, or I am doing something wrong.
And the thing that I could not download without paying was "GuidedHacking-Injector" that I found on github that did not have it's download ON github.
Also the first dll injector I tried downloading was the Xenos injector which now I know why I could not download, it's because my antivirus is for some reason immediately removing it without the option not to, and yesterday also without notice.
Next time I try to run this I will probably go on to the discord and ask for help, I was just saying how I was seeing things, and how I still see them, which is that the RROx program is saying to inject the dll to "arr-win64-shipping.exe" which I did not see while running Railroads, so I assume now that they just overlooked changing that, but yesterday I just assumed that they could have just not updated for that version yet considering the update was literally on the same day.

And one last thing, when was I ever trying to discredit the RROx devs??? I just implied that maybe they just did not update yet, I never said they did anything wrong????
