While for me, I rather like the autoloading, I am also the same guy that supported the same solution that an old Counter-Life mod did back in the day.
You programmed in a CVAR (Console VARiable) basically a toggle that let you set the feature you wanted.
You wanted feature X, you changed the variable to true, you didn't want it, you set it to false.
That way the game would fit the player... Exactly the same as other games.
Those who wants the autoload feature, turn it on, those who don't want it? Turn it off, and then of course the host decides the variables as it is their game.
Analyse your yards, see if you can make them better.
Go haul something while you wait. (Especially with tools, they take a long time to load).
I like the new feature. Loading is no longer a chore.
