It is slow with all the locos. Just check the the water tower pipe is actually inline with the water tank hatch.

as described in the discord channel this is the water level of the boiler. (reading in the ui) To check the water level in tank you have to inspect manual (or better optical) or wait till water pours over while filling. When stopping filling you will notice that this number may still raise if not at 90 % of capacity, it is filled from the tank till reaching 90 %. I would be glad if they put both readings in the ui, these questions come in every time ppl join the game. Lets see what will happen :)

I have a similar problem, with the porter who doesn't have a tender, As I understand it, the porter doesn't have a water reserve/tank, when you fill it, it's directly into the boiler.(unless Im totally wrong). Now, My porter, which can hold 500 water, is now at 754.873 water... how's that possible? and it keeps filling up to this day, seems to fill up faster with reg on. Keeps filling up above the Max capacity. For the Heisler, same thing, although when Im not using the reg, it doesn't fill. Heisler,( as I understand it) has a 4500 water capacity, now my heilser is way above that and keeps filling when reg is being used. My heilser waterlevel is now 4789.118. keeps filling up by 0.002 to 0.010 every cycle Or whatever you call it).

I understand with the new physics update, that most trains will have water reseves/tanks which will fill the boiler, but my boiler is way above it's capacity. on all locos, not just those 2 I mentionned. Just to say, I never had to fill the heisler with water whatsoever, just keeps filling up (nice, but unrealistic).

The porter has a tank bult in to the boiler. You can see the water level if you walk into the boiler. The boiler fills only when it is below 90% the porter has 800 cpacity not 500. Just fill it until the tank is full. it should only take a few minutes. If you wait until the ui shows full you will wait for etenity because it will never be 100% full.

The porter is a saddle tank loco. The water tank sits over the boiler. Open the hatch on the on the filler access and draw the water tower pipe down to the hatch. The other locomotives in the current game have the water access hatch at the rear behind the wood bunker.

The Porter has a 800 unity tanks and a 500 unit Boiler.

So you are filling up the tank, and the boiler accepts water overtime.

It only takes about 5 minutes at most to fill the tender from empty.

Filling the tender is rather fast, but it will go slow into the boiler. But once you have the tender filled you can leave the water tower and the water will slowly come into the boiler. No need to stand beneath the watertower for that, the tender itself is full after i think 70 units of water just look inside the tender and move on.
