Resolution limited to 640x480 via DisplayPort in Windows

I tried to connect my Steam Deck to the official Steam Dock via DisplayPort and HDMI in Windows 10, and it looks like the HDMI is working fine, but the DP give a max resolution of 640x480.

Do you know if there is any software update to fix this issue?

I am experiencing the same problem. It seems to work fine in the SteamOS desktop mode. It also worked fine before the recent dock firmware upgrade. (106)

If I unplug the HDMI monitor, the DP monitor returns to it's normal resolution. As soon as I plug the HDMI monitor back in, the DP monitor is capped back at 640x480.

I cannot confirm if it was working fine before the firmware update, because the first thing I did was to update the firmware... :(

I can confirm that it worked before the firmware update. Had 2x 2560x1440p monitors in Windows, with the DP @100Hz and the HDMI @60Hz. Since it worked before I'm hopeful that a future update will bring it back.

Got a response from Steam Support, and they don't offer any support for Windows.

I ended requesting a refund, and buying a USB C hub with 2 HDMI outputs, that works perfectly on both, Windows and Steam OS.

It works with this one, but I guess that any hub with 2 HDMI outputs will work the same.

Not the ideal solution because cable management is much worse in this kind of hubs, but at least I can have 2 external monitors in Windows this way.

@lin_mdotor Yes, I actually had that exact same hub _before_ I ordered the Steam Deck Dock. I am still holding out hope for a patch to restore functionality, but I appreciate you following up.
