This game is unfair!
Whenever I have a bit money someone spawns and kills me. This happens all the freakin time. I thought i'd be ok once I own a house but someone spawned, destroyed my house and killed me. But the worst thing is I spend so much time into this game and everyone still beats the crap out of me!

And that's not all. All enemies have at least 2 special moves. The chickens have always a special move every freakin turn. How are you supposed to play this game?

are you by chance, robbing people constantly and getting wanted?

2 special moves is nothing, just find someone to teach so they can teach you after, or join a sect and have them teach you

you get stronger by reincarnating, aka die and reborn. To be OP without the pristine karma, jot down op character family name and refresh your reincarnation selection till you get that person as your new parents.

While that is one way to do it. It is not entirely the only way to get stronger (or at least don't get mauled all the time). After some trials and errors and getting to know the game mechanics I found that strength comes in learning the appropriate inner kungful + the matching kungfu skills. Ideally, if you join Heat sect you will want the inner that boost Sun damage while using the heat kungfu. It is also important to get the inner kungfu that boost sword damage by 50% of Chi stat. This game has many customization on character build and new players may find it overwhelming. I know I did.
If you carry around 1k+ money in your pocket then bandit faction characters on the map will come after you. That's not unfair, it's just a fairly common rule of thumb.

You chose to fight instead of hand over your bag of coins, when you should have put that money in a storage at your house for safe keeping.

I had that money because of an auction and the enemy still attacked me even though i put all the money into the chest right after the auction. Not sure if it's a bug or intented but yeah, it's definetively unfair.

The fact, that these enemies randomly spawn around you whenever you got a bit money is the thing that makes it unfair. Thanks to that I've lost great items I bought from the auction.

And I was in my own house... these enemies shouldn't spawn if you're in your house at the very least. That guy just popped up right in front of my door after the auction.

In all my experience playing the game, enemies on the map do not "spawn," the only exception is when you place a new tile, kill an existing NPC, or trigger a mission and/or story event.

During the game characters are constantly moving around the map following their event triggers. So if a character you passed while walking around on the map was a bandit (or has low / bad rep with you) and sees you when you have 1k+ money. The character will follow you to engage in the extortion event. While you can run away from the character once they start following, the character will follow you until the dialogue triggers. Which is likely why the character followed you to your house and attacked your door.

Yea, you're right that makes more sense. But still unfair :steamhappy:

You can actually shake off NPCs, that are in pursuit of you, if you create enough distance. So, in this particular case, you seem to be at fault, for leading the NPC right to your doorstep.

Nope I didn't. I was in my house the whole time and at some point after the auction an npc got triggered and spoke to me outside the door.

huh, i thought he "destroyed your house and killed you"
not that he waited outside and tried to mug you

After the auction, at some point he run over my door and started chat and after that he started to destroy my house.

There are other things that don't make much sense either. For instance, you can buy a house and whatever that npc had in his chests etc. are yours as well. Which means you can exploit this and get pretty rich at the beginning.
