It is. My 2nd character reborn and can get up to 30000 Vigor "right out of the gate". Tbh I'm not a fan with this system of progression.
- I'm attached to the original character, it should be possible to become more and more powerful to beat the game on your first character. But that's not possible because you're gated, your first character can't get powerful enough because of a semi-hardcap, and definitely not strong enough to "beat" the game.
- On the other hand, as you notice you once reborn, your next character is so overpower that everything else save for (some) Sect Masters or the final bosses.
This creates a double whammy effect on replaybility IMO.
- I feel there is no point in replaying on a fresh character, because this character will always gonna be hard cap.
- The 2nd character starts out so strong that there is literally nothing to play for. All of the zone challenge are already done, 99% of the inhabitant will die if you just happen to sneeze at them. Feel like the purpose of the 2nd gen is to just spawn in the world, go to the final place and beat the game within 30min, it's really pointless.
I somewhat agree, for the most part, but I don't know about this one.
I've easily "beaten" the game with my first character. In fact, I happened to have saved right before I headed into the battle against the "final bosses", for the first time. Using said save file, I pretty much abuse those "final bosses", whenever I wanna test build ideas.
Basically a 100% - 1000% additive not multiplicative that affects NPC vigor and skill damage.
500hp NPC at 100% increase goes to 1000hp (500hp + 500hp) with a corresponding effect on skills.
500hp NPC at 1000% increase goes to 5500hp (500hp + 5000hp)
This way weak people stay weak but sect leaders with 10khp at 1000% don't become disgustingly OP either.
Of course increase % to 10000% additive can make the game more a grind and harder for the die hards that like to continually rebirth etc.
How do you choose the other parent? my first character has 4 wives (3/4 NPC offspring are adults, one child with each wife) but despite that when i go north and reincarnate, none of my wives appear in the creation menu.
I can select my first character as my father just fine, I just cannot seem to be able to select a second parent
Thanks for the answer friend, I assume that mean the lineage point can be used
