Fastest way to level up moves? (Punch, Kick, etc)
Trying to level up my moves (Punch, Kick, etc) so that I can get to guru and transcribe all my skills into manuals for my newer characters to get so I don't have to learn everything over again.

What is the fastest way to level them up? I've just been beating up monkeys, but there has to be a better way.

To be honest, leveling up every specific skill to turn into a book is time consuming, it's probably faster to use a instructor as a retainer for said skill's.

it's still good to transcribe inner kungfu though, as they have no level requirement's tied to them.

Your move skill level is not relevant, to making it a book, its the skill itself's level that matter's, you can get it up to level 6 with kungfu insight, the rest require's using said specific move till it hits 9,(using skill's adds a set amount of kungfu insight to the used skill) this can take awhile.

to use kung fu insight, go to the skill's tab and click on the arrow on your equipped skill, there should be a weird black bar somewhere on the ui you hold down to spend it for progress to the next level.

I could be wrong, and someone correct me if i am(just now confirmed that you need to be peerless in a card skill to make it a book, which is kind of silly considering how early you can teach it to other's but eh), but you need to be peerless in a skill to transcribe it into a book, yet you only need 3 level's to teach it to someone(its actually level 2, i guess level 0 count's toward guru?), who can then pass it down to other's(its better if they are an instructor, otherwise it will take some time and may have really irritating requirement's such as being on fire or being cold etc.)

Also, i haven't really used instructor's all that much for relearning thing's it just sound's like it would be useful, so i apologize in advance if they still have the annoying requirement's like being on fire or something, they do teach it faster than anyone else though.

If you are grinding the move's to sage, you can speed it up via wearing equipment that gives acquire speed, which is just a weird translation for exp gain in said abilities, sadly this has no effect on leveling the skill's as far as i know, but it will level move's faster, including everything else on the abilities tab, it can also be given to instructor's so they learn the skill card's faster, but it won't make them level said card's faster if that makes sense?

Make sure the instructor isn't going to die, if you aren't sure, save before hand just on the off chance they die before you can relearn everything.

tldr: transcribing skill's slow, inner's are good to transcribe always, teach instructor's skill's, make sure they don't die. also your move ability is not tied to transcribing, skill level is(the Skill cards).

Edit: One last bit of info, when you relearn a skill on your new character, it will be at level 0, so you can't retain skill level, you can retain the skill itself though.

I haven't read reply above because I'd bet my one will be more brief ;)
00) training basic moves and skills is not the same :)
1st - fight-only (more moves used - more exp), 2nd - there's a lot more ways outside the battle

0) If you want to just transcribe, you don't need to make all your skills to Lv9 (max).
Lv6 gaining with Kung Fu insights will be enough. (~100k insights totally)

How to mass-learn skills...
1) Create sect, create Kung fu school with all the skills you want, add your new chars to this sect, tell them to learn specific school and just wait or do your business
and/or
2) Create a char, activate true method kungfu, learn all the skills you need via scribes or sect, live it afk for some ingame days and all your skills soon will be maxed to lv9.
Learning from a skill book has you perform the skill in combat. Combat doesn't end until you use the skill. You can just keep stringing combos for as long as you want and you can concede to take a break with no consequence.
