I think this is an inner kung fu that you need to unlock a certain Karma to get, I'm not sure. I think it's the '30 intimacy/ grudge/ 1,000,000 gold' one. If not, honestly don't get attached to your first few characters, they'll be incredibly weak compared to one's you get down the line. And if they do die, spawn in the mini-world they died in and B Line to their body and you can get all your stuff back, and if you built any houses walk up to the door and 'seize' the building, which will make it yours again.
Haven't played with jail yet, but I've heard you can Stockholm people into liking you, and make them join your sect which will help recruit some of the more powerful NPC's without buying them out of their old sects.
Pet's don't seem to roam yet, the pause function essentially makes them kind of like a guard for your house so if you're attacked at your house they'll help you fight whoever is attacking. If you find a way to make them roam this please do tell.
Honestly even with powerful weapons they still only do 30-70 damage, unless you have upped your concealed attack damage to legendary levels, then you'll only do 30-70 damage per concealed weapon thrown, so no cheesing and assassinating characters as of now. There is an assassin sect so maybe they have some art that will let you do that, but I haven't gotten there yet.
Kind of unsure, I think if there's even 1 bandit NPC in the world they recruit/ more bandits can join the 'bandit' sect (it's not really a sect, but I'm pretty sure in my current world I had 3 bandits turn into 5 because I showed them mercy a lot cause I was a sect leaders kid so I'm a bit OP), only completely being wiped if you wipe out all of their equipment on the tiles they own. So once you take their heads, go to their base which will be highlighted in red, and destroy everything in the tile. But be warned, if you don't use your sect to claim that new tile as your own then if a new bandit cluster is spawned and left alone long enough they will rebuild their stuff in the tile. But I think the main thing that makes them join is having other bandits around. There's a lot of experimenting to be done in the game to see what does and doesn't work, and since it seems like it's in extreme early access, still in the 0.1 phase then it's safe to say a bunch of the things i've said will most likely be wrong in a few months.
You'll usually see it on some of the Da Nai guards or Sect Masters (occasionally).

Those are sucks.
Thanks
Maybe I'll try and find this assassin sect, whatever its called. I'm drunken brawler right now and its lame. You become immune to staggering around drunk when that's the entire appeal and everyone either kills you or dies way before you can realistically stack 15 booze

Is there a way to guarnatee options like this? My parents are weak.
What are 'Da Nai guards'? Police? Do I need to break the law to spawn some?
Da Nai guards are the "incomplete person" police force, yes. They live in the Forbidden City and will occasionally run out to deliver justice to wanted criminals.
The one good use I've found for throwing concealed weapons is taking out snakes or other aggressive wildlife before they see me and force me into a pointless fight.
They are the guys that run the forbidden city. The Dynasty.
If you don't have them on the map yet, you will soon. They are not optional.

Make friends with, or intimacy with 2 different sect leaders, this will unlock the 'Noble Scion' Karma and on the screen where you choose your parents should be the sect leader you're friends with or intimate with. That is the character I advanced the story with, made another character that is his kid, which is going to have another kid with another character, then I'm going to go back to Karma so I can be HIS kid, essentially playing as my OP characters great grandson. It's the best way to get better vigor. If you start as an orphan you have almost no vigor and you're pretty weak. I would just focus on one sect and learn all of their moves so you can pass on that kung fu to the next generations. But you can't customize your first name if you are born as anybodies kid. So if your parents name is NangongSune then your first name has to be Nangong, cause that's your family name, and you can change the second name, Sune, to whatever you want. (your first name is more like your last name in the English sense) This is why I'm playing as the grandson. Because then I can use the surname that I want to by creating a third character naming it CharlesFirstname, romance my second which is super powerful, and pick the surname that I want for the kid in order to start a new lineage with the Charles surname. Nangong isn't my first choice for a surname ngl.
Also how does 'doubling up' on acupoints work? The guides here say its some gigantic stat increase somehow, but for me if I put an extra line into + 2 attack, I just get +2 more. It doesn't double other stat increases or anything like the guides seem to be trying to say
Still doesn't explain how to be a friend or brother though, which I do have the option to do (be brother) but simply never, ever works, ever, with anyone, in any world.
