I'm new too, so take it with a grain of salt, but as far as I can tell, nothing. It's just the name given to your starter world. I started a new 'mini world' after it became available and - besides getting to tinker with all the settings ahead of time - it played out the same.
Still started on the same land, got the tutorial guy come to the ship (that you can skip), got mentions of losing your memory, got the clinic and the starter town, etc. It started me facing a different direction and of course you can make the map however you want. And there were new random NPCs (like different clinic leader).
I think it's basically just multiple worlds in case you want to lay them out different, or have different sects take over, have different settings, etc.
