Where/How to get Monkey Wine?

I can't find how to craft it, where to buy it, or even drops. Any help here? thanks!

Do you have to actually kill them not just beat them? I had a monkey come and show me treasure so I feel bad killing them, they are all so scared of me because I beat them all up

I've looted it off of KO'd Big Monkeys before, haven't tried looting the small monkeys.

I think if you loot them and don't take their poop and or their meat I think they will stay alive.

So if i leave the monkeys alive, does the monkey wine respawn? It would be nice if tamed monkeys made monkey wine.

I believe I saw that poo respawns in animal inventories, so the monkey win might be a rare inventory that respawns, but I haven't invested much into animal taming to check.

I'm sure eggs respawn in hens, so the likelihood is a high.

I've taken the poop before but it was from a tamed animal, and hadn't died. I think it's just meat, hide and similar stuff that shouldn't be taken.

Animals seem to die when you loot their bodies, but they also respawn after a while so it's not a big deal. Massacre all the animals you want and take their stuff, it's the only way to get certain resources (i.e. meat).

Many stores in the buildings sell meat, eggs, skin etc. Stable sells them too.
