How exactly does the cap on inner kung fu work?

I have both the art of marrow of heart flame and marrow refinement (This also happens with other skills but this is an example.) and when I unlock heart flame I can no longer get symbols towards the marrow one, I also find that once I go through enough symbols I find that the symbols start going towards the inner kung fu again and I can't quite understand what I'm missing here. you need to do them from the start to the end, there is no "limit" you can even use part of another to build 1

Oh so once you unlock the first you need to go all the way back and do it again? So If one is Triangle > Circle > Square

And Triangle > Circle > square and > rectangle for example

Once you finish the first one even though the steps are the same you need to completely go back to triangle circle and square and work up from there am I understanding right?

yes and no, you can continue on it, if fx it ends on triangle circle. you can continue it into rectangle to finish another

you don't need to go completely back, it's essentially all about getting the patterns for the inner kung fu through your meridian thread. So if I have one inner kung fu that's Square > Triangle > Circle, and another that's Triangle > Circle > Circle, then after finishing the first inner kung fu, if I then connect to a circle after, I'd unlock both.

However, as with all things meridian, the thread has to link back to the core.

Huh, I'll give that a shot but I never noticed it quite working when I tired to continue a thread after unlocking something but for now thank you for the info and I'll go off this post in the future
