Is sorceress supposed to feel this weak?
I don't remember having enemies 4 shot me. Kind of lame to be frank.

Honestly i got annoyed too, so i hacked the stats.

If you can purchase lightning orb asap as that's the only spell that really seems worth it from my recent play-through. If fireball didn't do damage to you too, i'd call it a close second.

Yes Allie, even in TTRPG's the Mages/Wizards/Sorceress's always start out very weak. But then over time they usually become one of if not the Strongest & most Bad-Assed, OP characters in the game. It's just how the class both in online games & TTRPG"s is . And for that matter even in Lore & Myth like Merlin of Olden English Lore is a dweeb until he gets much older, along with Gandalf, Galadriel & Saruman .:steamthumbsup::Ebonheart:

Most magic classes in D&D, even in past editions, are historically late bloomers. A good combo for her as soon as you can get enough points for it is to keep Mordenkainen's Sword up as much as possible while using Ball Lightning, or Meteor Swarm for things resistant to lightning. She goes from squishy and underpowered in the early game to a screen clearing powerhouse with the right abilities maxed. There are many skills that can even be avoided completely for saving points for the better ones-

Avoid-Magic Missile, Burning Hands, Melf's Acid Arrow, Snowblind, Fireball, Otiluke's Icy Sphere.

Invest- Lightning Bolt, Ball Lightning, Mordenkainen's Sword, Fire Shield, Meteor Swarm

Spare points into passives as they are all useful.
