It’s a console port of a PS2 game. I had no problem with it on ps2
The way it works is that every time you jump, two platforms flash and disappear. That leaves one that you have to jump to quickly. It might be at an angle to the one you are on so be ready to jump diagonally. It helps to stay to stay in the middle of the platforms.
The good news is that once it is over, you can finish the game without ever meeting anything that awful ever again. It's definitely the game's lowest point.
But the jumping part is easy. The only finicky part could be jumping when the camera is at an angle, but you just have to line up the camera so you face the platforms head on and just press W.
Otherwise, you jump, see which platforms flash around you, jump on the one that didn't flash, repeat until you get past it. You can literally stop/adjust your movement midair as if you were on the ground.
