Taskbar pins for Steam games??
I purchased the v2 version today, on the premise that I would be able to add pins to my taskbar for specific Steam games in Windows 11. I don't understand how to do this though, and when I try to pin the link for a Steam game from a shortcut on my desktop I get an error message that pops up stating "Catastrophic Failure". Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I also tried to do the 'pin folder menu' option, with the Steam folder (it was one of the options that showed up when selecting pin folder menu), and while that one seems to pin a folder icon with a Steam logo on it to my taskbar, clicking that Steam folder icon does nothing.

Try this, duplicate all your Steam games shortcut on your desktop. Move those duplicates shortcut into a newly created folder. Use "Pin folder menu" on Start11. That should do it. I just test it on my system and it work.
Thank you,

Thank you for the response. I did try this and it does work, though isn't quite what I'd hoped for. I guess I read the description wrong (or misunderstood the video) on the Start 11 v2 product page and thought I could add Steam shortcuts for individual games on my taskbar, though it sounds like that is not the case. The folder option with the 'pin folder menu' does work though, just not quite like I'd hoped. I appreciate your assistance though. Thanks again.

The new pinned features are indeed new. Whilst Windows 11 lets you pin an exe to the taskbar, thats all you can do. No files, no folders, no popup menus.

With Start11 you can pin a document or a folder or even make a popup menu from a folder. One of those is for Steam installed apps to even make it easier for you.
