Shed/Hut
Do you sleep in the shed and huts? It's not giving me that option with the shed but I still have the sheltered bed built.

Also are you able to put a camp fire in your shed? Liking the game but there is definitely a lack of tutorial/general information available.

You can sleep anywhere by clicking on the clock icon and selecting "sleep" or "nap". This will cause you to sleep on the ground. However, you really want to build a bed of some type inside the shed/hut (even just the leaf bed), since sleeping on the ground causes a lot of back pain. Eventually you want to upgrade to a rough bed, hammock, or (once you can make planks) wooden bed. To sleep on any bed, click on the bed and select "sleep" or "nap".

Yes, you can build a campfire in a shed/hut, just go inside and place the blueprint as usual. But you want to aim for a stove when you can.

Edit: it occurs to me that you may not have noticed that you can go inside a shed/hut. Unlike the shelter, they are big enough to have an interior space, like a cave does. Just click on the building to go inside.

So in theory should everything that I currently keep outside go in the shed? Other than tanning hides and maybe a few other things, Only on day 16 of first play thru, just been learning as I go.

You probably want to experiment and try to figure stuff out yourself... that's kinda the fun of the game. I'd encourage you not to read any of this but...

Here's my thoughts.

Inside space is limited. Anything that doesn't have a reason to be inside should be outside.
Some stuff stinks. Put it outside. Or wherever you aren't. (you might not have anything at day 15 of your first playthrough).
Some stuff is good. Put it intside, or wherever you are. (sandcastles for example, atlhough I don't think you can get those inside. There'll be other good stuff later).
Critters steal some stuff if they can get to it. It's safe in boxes/baskets or inside behind a door. (shed: door not included).
Some places have inclement weather that can make you lose items. They're safe inside.

Well, the value of a shed or hut is that it protects you and your stuff from weather, and after you have the capacity to make a door, also keeps it safe from various wildlife. Different parts of the island are more or less affected by weather conditions (which vary seasonally), and have a greater or lesser population of each of the animal types, so what items will benefit from being indoors will depend on where you built your home and what season it currently is.

So on the one hand, you probably want to keep the things you use frequently inside, as well as materials for tasks that take a long time (such as processing fiber) so you can work on them in more comfortable surroundings. And on the other hand, if you notice you are losing things to rain/wind/animals/whatever, those items are candidates to be indoors too, especially once your indoors has a door. :D
