Any tips for dealing with depression/mood?
After a few attempts, I got to the point where basic survival is handled; I'm not dying of thirst or hunger any more. But right as I got my mud hut set up, storms started hitting and my guy started getting super depressed - and everything taking twice as long just compounded the issue. I'm on day 47, barely able to maintain my hunger any more, storms happen every other day, and I'm not sure how to handle it. I try diving, making sand castles, but every time I start getting even slightly out of the "depressed" zone, I have a nightmare or see something staring at me in the dark and BAM, right back down to zero mood.

I wish they would option to disable those guys or at least the Hunter. I get it that they might appear on the first hunter mission but I don't think it should be part of basic game play. Well feeling like being watched might be more common but this Hunter leaving marks is more like horror movie stuff.

If you're playing a custom character, you can take the "Down to Earth" trait. It basically negates that stuff, kind of like the Immunized trait does for diseases.

The best advice I can give you is grind for clay first week, get a kiln up and running, craft several containers, and a reservoir or whatever its called that looks like a kiddie swimming pool and holds water.

Containers in banana trees (clay bowl or coconut half shell) is good if you can space it out with your other water sources. The alembic is also great for making fresh water. Again it requires lots of clay working.

Clay is your best friend.
