Tourist: best way to get fat?
Since the tourist can neither climb nor fight or trap very well, I am not sure about the best way to get a fat supply mid game. You cannot get to the coconuts, cannot gain a macaque friend to get coconuts and are not killing any animals. So am I correct in assuming, that you will die of malnutrition if you don't level either climbing, trapping or some form of hunting exessively?

Thanks for your input!

Tourist starts obese though so plenty of time to train climbing daily or spear fighting that 1 hour daily training each new day and just poking even macaques will get it done. Trapping also will eventually level up easy.

Between Farmer and Tourist with all the bonus stuff Tourist is easier for me. There's something about that crashed plane not needing much maintenance and only needing a door for safety and easy scrap metal etc from seats for advanced tools.

Maybe it's just my preference of Wetlands over Secret Valley.

Yams alone is decent carbs till you get oil or fats, I am not sure if those chocolate bars help a bit, but chicken burgers and sago slimes easy sustenance.

I made a scrap spear, then ruined the tourists diet by eating 25 macaques. almost ruined the run, since it needs a macaque friend.

😂😂😂 Yep scrap spear is powerful for a starting weapon that's why I find Tourist somehow easier than Farmer start.

Wooden or flint spear, stone throw/sling would kill them less and more injured chances.

Early on you can get the Coconuts by using an axe. You can use a rustic axe which takes a bit longer or you can get some scrap from the airplane sits to make a scrap one which is a bit faster.

Safest way to get plenty of calories as tourist is using coconut oil and vegetables to make yam curry.

But also like other people said Tourist starts really well of. Most important is to make sure the wounds heal and not get any new ones and you will be able to develop him in any way you like.

with time he can become a master trapper or a big time farmer... even a hunter if you really want to ;). Takes time but everything is possible :).

Cheers!
You can always chop down a coconut palm. Takes more time but no risk. Alternatively you could level up rock throwing / slinging and try to knock them down that way.

Tourist also has various Medications, the coveted one being Painkillers and Antibiotics, Purification tablets which is useful in emergencies and A useful Diarrhea tablets if you somehow ate bad food or need to keep your stool liquidity down, also not sure if it's patched out or fixed but... A Single use of purification tablets on a 100% puddle with unsafe water will convert to clean water.

Also make sure to take off rare clothing like Hawaiian shirt before it breaks, it's a special clothing which helps boost happiness meter and mental stability.

If you ask me difficulty Curve is like Islander, Tourist, Farmer, Mermaid.

If the Tourist didn't have back pain issues without rough sleeper and shortsightedness he would easily be first easy and most decent bed is Hammock with easy materials access to it.

Weight loses very slowly once hitting the "healthy slim" range and any reasonable eating can keep it there. Satiation is another matter, staying hungry is pretty much the norm, so keeping morale up is the actual tough one.
