It is also a good idea to move your base into the Jungle as coastal areas will make living in these areas really difficult. Make the hut and do most of you activities at your base. When storms appear in the wet season, it will make travelling in coastal areas take longer and destroy items there as well.
It might be best to start over if possible.
Hi Spaceball!
Best way to beat the hunter is to face it. Let him catch up to you and make sure to have your best spear equipped. Try to train your spear whenever you can too.
The higher your speafighting skill and spear quality the higher the chances of defeating it are. Having a shield equipped can also help.
If you fail, don't despair and try again the next time he comes. :)
Ich have Metal Spear 100% plus shield. 3rd Time not beeting him close to killing myself...Kinda destroys the game fun for me tbh.
This game really kicks you when you're down, often when you're doing everything right to try to tip you into a death spiral. The only advice for the Hunter is to keep trying to fight him and accept that you're unlikely to get anything productive done while you're fighting off mental health events (which are now almost as bad as things like camp fever).
Basically any negative status impacts on other negative statuses, so if you're in pain from an injury this will impact your mental health. If all else fails, consider getting blitzed off palm wine and magic mushrooms to get your happiness up.
Okay Lights on i can try. But sleeping increases my stress for some reason like crazy...is it cause the lights are off?
Okay making Progress...not stressed anymore. But i still cant get out of the "being lonely, being depressed" cycle. Lonelyness isnt going down even though im loner. I talk to weston every 8 hours or so, i build sand castle, go dive, even carve. I drink Jasmin or Ginger plus alcohol some times. Nothin changes. depression level is at max. Lonely at max. , derealization wont get down. altered state of mind wont go down. Cycle of bullshittery. I mean its cool, realistic and all...but there has to be a way out. I played the game for hours and hours a day. Now im not even interested in more than an hour (testing the things u tell me) then frustration again.
I suspect your current problem is probably isolation which can really have a very negative effect on your loneliness.
As the game progresses isolation slowly increases until it caps on day 90. This stat can never be reduced, so all you can do is fight and control its effects.
Isolation can have the following effects on you:
- Increases loneliness
- Lowers mental structure.
- Lowers morale.
- Makes it easier to reach altered mind states.
The best way to fight isolation is to have a comfortable base of operations. Comfort can really lower the effects of isolation, specially loneliness and mental structure damage so it's essential to to build a good home that is well equipped with furniture, improvements and decorations if you are planning to stay in the island for long periods of time.
If you manage to get a home with a high comfort, and you talk to weston regularly you should be able to get rid of all that loneliness. Having macaque friends can also help of course, as well as petting goats and spending time with them.
Im sorry you are not having fun anymore. For me part of the challenge is going through, learning to have better runs so those issues crop up less and less. The game has to have its limitations though. But good luck out there, i hope you find the enjoyment you had before. I recommend , since you have already put in a lot of time, to go watch some youtubers do runs. Might give you inspiration to keep playing!
