Too much for my 5700XT?
Windows 11
32GB DDR4
Ryzen 5800x
AMD 5700XT
1440p

This is officially the first game I've played that truly dominates my rig. I put it on flat High, TAA, Vsync off and the usual motion blur/film grain off stuff. I never once get above 30fps and it dips frequently to the teens. I noticed my GPU is on the minimum requirements. Anything I can do to optimize it, or is the game too much for my card?

runs at 70+ fps on a i7 10870H with 3060 on high/Ultra settings at 1080p dlss quality, so idk must be amd gpu problem

Use FSR instead of TAA, it will give you a massive performance boost while the picture quality will look almost as sharp as native.

I played the free trial and my RX 6600 could barely handle 60 fps at 1080p medium settings, but with FSR (kept it at auto) I could play at ultra and my GPU was on average only 70% in use, so FSR is a must in this game.

That fixed it. Things look a lot more washed out even on Quality mode, but it runs at 60fps at least not. Yeesh. I need to look into upgrading soon -- I've heard the 6900XT is still a sleeper hit.

Well I mean you are technically running 720 vs his 1440.. So not comparable. JSing. Nvidia owner here.

Wait until you see the difference in performance between this version and the non-Denuvo version. It cripples almost every game it's infected with, and people like you are wondering if their rig is a lemon because of it.

Objectively false.

Try playing with these settings :
TAA instead of FSR
shadows changable depending on perfomance - yes (i have polish version it might be named different but its first setting after TAA)
Shadows and lighting on high
volumetric and reflections on medium
ssao on
depth of field low

You should still get nice graphics and between 40-70 fps depending on area, at least this is what i get on rx 5700 xt with 1440p, there are still some stutters but nothing game breaking.

If that is not to ur satisfaction u can always turn FSR on quality, should get between 70-90 fps but then ur image gonna be slightly more blurry, u can use sharpening to counter that a little.

Also make sure to not buy plasma cutter damage over time upgrade, it absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥ ur performance and deals no damage at all XD Do not recommend.

Disable VRS, it's known to cause PQ degrade due to incompatibility when DLSS/FSR enabled.

I played it with FSR enabled on my 4K 60Hz TV with my RX 6900 XT + R9 3900 XT + 32GB RAM, ran at about 50+ fps which is quite playable for DSR. I did disable VRS and I found PQ to be pretty darn good.

Oooh, glad to see this page. Running a 9900K with 5700XT myself. Curious to see how well my rig can handle this.

Unfortunately I've heard that AMD GPU's get slammed by Dead Space remake for some reason.

for the guy with the 10870H and the RTX 3060. I have an I5 12500H and an RTX 3050 and on medium or low it is latent with stutter.

specs:
RTX 3050
I5 12500H
16 GB of RAM
m.2 SSD 500GB

I'm trying to figure out the cause but this is also a brand new laptop as of two days ago so there wasn't anything on it other than bloatware from acer and windows that I've already removed.

Well I gave it a shot and its not too bad. I had the settings up on high with FSR on auto got about 50 FPS on average.

Nice! That's the problem with comments about AMD GPUs, they're mostly based off something someone read or heard (like the guy you'd quoted, note that he'd said, "I've heard.."), actual users' comments and experience can be quite different.
