after steam as well as a microsubs os update 2 months ago (at the least) there has been invisible npc's in a lot of games that have been played ..
some games have updated and fixed issue because of it and it wasn't their fault ..
these games have been played for months if not years and never having and issue of this nature ..
in your case back tracking and finding a save point then reloading should and could fix the issue ..
it confuses them and they can get stuck ..
you have to wait ..
me i reload if they take too long coming back out ..
it's why i go down there as fast as i can after cleaning items i need from top floor ..
I ended up reinstalling the game, and it has been smooth sailing ever since. Nevertheless, thank you all for your help!
happy to give a reach out ..
I always thought it was the problem with the HDD vs SSD. With the former, you tend to get invisible enemies a lot because the HDD can't load everything that quickly.
