DLSS 4 in this game is great!
I've played for about an hour by swapping the DLSS the game uses with DLSS 4, with great results (using the preset k).

If anyone is interested in trying it out themselves, download https://github.com/beeradmoore/dlss-swapper and use it to switch the dlss to the latest version (310.2.1 as of writing). If you want to use the preset k, you need to download profile inspector from here https://github.com/xHybred/NvidiaProfileInspectorRevamped/releases
and edit some parameters for the Dead Space Remake's profile.

Under DLSS Overrides, edit SR preset to Preset K (or J, depending on whichever you prefer). You can also make the DLSS in this game work like DLAA for even better image clarity if you have enough specs for it.

Under clarity and detail, you'll want to change lod bias (directx) to the DLSS/DLAA you use in game, as this solves the blurry DLSS issue.

Under Anti-Aliasing, change SSAA transparency to Full Transparency AA (DLSS Mods).

Under Texture Filtering, make sure Negative Lod bias is allowed.

Feel free to share your experiences! Problems too, if you ran into any.

EDIT: Nvidia app might need to be uninstalled for this to work as it might interfere with profile inspector’s config. You also need to be on the latest drivers.

Thank you very much for the detailed instructions. In particular, I did not know that for this game you need to set the lod bias (directx) parameter for quality mode. Apparently, I had previously doing something similar, but through Dlss Tweaker, but there was Override Dlaa.

Please tell me, do I need to set the Full Transparency AA (DLS Mods) parameter when playing GTA V Enhanced edition? There I use the latest version of Dlss 4 and Dlaa mode, setting the Profile Inspector - Diss override by latest available and K preset

I do not think it’s necessary in gta 5 if it doesn’t suffer from the blurry dlss issue dead space had. For reference, I used DLSS 4 for no man’s sky by enabling in game DLAA using preset k, didn’t enable the full transparency AA setting and it still looked really good.

Edit: Done the same with Death Stranding too, and it also looked good. Except with DS I had to force DLAA on the inspector.

Seems to be working on my old RTX-2080Ti. All maxed settings gives about 60-75FPS @5120x1440p. Using Nvidia Control Panel & NV inspector only; Nvidia App not installed.

-Is there a DLSS monitor plugin or toggle on/off setting for MSI afterburner so DLSS version can be displayed on trhe OSD?

-Where can you check what current DLSS version is active?
Thanks!

Hi.

I believe the github package I linked comes with a "show dlss version" reg file? The one with profile inspector. Might be worth checking that out to ensure you're actually running the correct version.

EDIT: It's the "Enable DLSS UI.reg" file that comes with the zip package. Try it and see if it helps! And apologies, I don't use MSI Afterburner, so not sure if it has anything like that.
