Game Breaking Crash: Chapter 10, Repeatedly Crashes at Z-Ball Door

I haven't had many crashes with Dead Space, but one that I've had repeat several times is at the Z-Ball door. If I go into the Z-ball room and then try to leave is stutters for a brief moment and then completely crashes. I haven't found anything else on this. I can go no farther in the game. I'm assuming it's something graphics related.

More than likely then not it's the game save ..

load a save prior too and work your way there again ..

maybe even use an auto save just before ..

game save files have away of becoming corrupted ..

(steam has away of corrupting game files through it's sync i've learnt to do hard copy saves of game saves)

it's not just this game that does it<<

Unfortunately, trying the 5 previous manuals saves and 2 prior autosaves didn't work. It only happens if I enter the room. It has the one brief auto stutter and then complete crash. I appreciate you taking the time to reply back.

Try this ..

do a save before entering the room ..

do 2 saves one to different slots ..

back out of game then load from one of the two -do not press continue game ..

This may sound off topic but it's not ..

check your sound devices in "Device manager" ..

Audio corruption can be fixed by uninstalling all sound device(s) (including hdmi) ..
*Don't uninstall driver(s)* ..

restart system ..

Audio corruption causes many game problem(s) ..

u have to install the previous graphics driver this nvidia driver made me have the exact same thing on chapter 6

i rarely update gpu drivers ..

Game crashes as well on chapter 5 for me. Only having this issue today, maby a patch that changed something?
