Stutter FIX - Linux Only
Hi guys, I'm playing Dead Space Remake right now without any Stutter or Traversal Stutter problems, I'm using the Distro (POP!_OS) using the RX 7900 XTX, I'm using the Proton GE 8-30 version, the latest version, I needed I did 2 things to completely eliminate the Stutters, First I locked the monitor at 59.95-60hz and second I used this command RADV_PERFTEST=gpl %command% in the game's launch options. And here I am after playing for 3 hours straight without any problems with stutter, unfortunately this fix is only for Linux users.

No effect whatsoever. I've had much better success with the clear cache -> set graphics settings -> clear cache -> do not touch anything method.

The coolest thing about commands is that, although not as popular, they are not unique to Linux.
People always dread "the terminal", seemingly ignoring the fact that Windows also has one and PowerShell as well.

Fun fact - did you know that shortcuts in Windows can be used as PowerShell command executables?

I thought this game required denuvo, how are you playing on Linux with that?

No idea. That's a question for Valve or someone, who has at least basic knowledge about the whole Wine/Proton thing.
From personal experience, 99% of the games that I play just run out of the box. I suppose it is a bonus that I mostly play single player games, so things like unsupported AntiCheat do not apply.
As far as tinkering goes, I'd say its no different than it would be on Windows. If you experience problems with the game, you read up about it and do the steps to make it better.

On Windows, someone might instruct you to tamper with Registry editor and change a setting or two, which supposedly make your game run better.
On Linux, you might need to try a different Proton version (which is as easy as changing a dropdown value) or add a launch flag (copy/paste something like "--dx11" into a field to make your game use DirectX11). I've heard Nvidia cards are not quite Linux friendly, or to be more specific, their drivers aren't, so AMD wins a bit in this department, because drivers are included in the kernel.

TL;DR Linux is nowhere near as scary and as hard as people make it out to be.
