The game keeps crashing my PC
Hello! I am desperate, because I am unable to play the game. The game stutters all the time(especially when a location is loading or some animation that hasn't occurred happens) and after a few minutes it crashes my pc with such errors as: "System Service Exception" or "IRQL_not_less_or_equal". I guess it is a driver problem, but after reinstalling the game and the drivers the problem still persists. I do not know what the deal is. I have checked the requirements, and my rig should do the job.
I have a RTX 4070 Ti and i5 10600 and 16 gb of ram.
P.S. I am a bit mad because I can run the game at 2k resolution without DLSS and get to 80-100 fps.

Might be a hardware problem, check windows log for a critical error.

Thank you for your reply! I have checked the logs, and there is probably a hardware problem. I encountered a critical error"Kernel Power". Though I am glad you have responded, I am done with this game. It doesn't really make sense how it crashes and stutters. Earlier this year I played Alan Wake 2 on a high graphical preset and it was a blast(1080p). While I cannot play this game on 480p without stutters and crashes. It simply does not make sense.
I can't even ask for a refund myself, because a friend gave me this nightmare.

Is it only in this game?

The kernel power means the computer was shut down without proper procedure, meaning you either held the button yourself or the crash was so bad the whole thing restarted by itself.
Go a little but furter and look for more errors.
If you click on them you can see a detailed report of it's source, that could help find faulty hardware or software.

Unfortunately for my mental state, Yes. It only happens when I play Dead Space. I did some digging on the net, found out that many have the same problem. The fix was quite hilarious, the installed an old version of the Nvidia driver and changed the profile of the game.(https://steamcommunity.com/app/1693980/discussions/0/3800526046831682887/)
The thread is all cool and dandy, but it didn't really help. The fixed profile isn't to be found(well at least I wasn't able to).
Honestly I gave up. I will probably do what you have recommended, but I am not sure if it will work(((

A last update. I have booted the game on 480p(while using an RTX 4070[yes I am mad]) and it still stutters and after 10 min ,it crashes my pc.

How good does it feel, to be a gamer in 2024?
I WOULD ARGUE IT IS THE BEST FEELING IN THE WORLD!

My money is on an inadequate or faulty power supply.

Buy a new PC.

I have changed it during the summer, since I wanted to buy a 40 series card. Maybe that is the problem, but since summer hadn't had any menacing surprices.

Thank you, for your insightful advice! But I think I will only change a few thing here and there:steammocking:

Quick update: I don't really understand why, but the game seems to work with DLSS on Ultra performance with upscaled 1080 resolution. I have tried different quality presets, but medium seems to work the best(the stutters aren't that unbearable at least). Well, It still stutters, but it doesn't crash my pc. Any idea why that happens? The cpu temps seem high, but not too high(90-94).
P.S. I have played only a bit, maybe the game will crash during lengthy gaming sessions.
P.S.S. When playing without DLSS on native 480p it crashed my PC after 7 minutes.

Okay 90-94 C on the CPU is really hot. Is your cooler properly seated? Or thermal paste is properly applied to it? Most modern CPU's first throttle down their clock speeds when reaching 90+ then at around 100-105 shut down the computer to avoid damage to the CPU itself.

Also Dead Space Remake stutters when loading new areas, it always happens and there's sadly no way to make it stop.

If your PC is at 90+ you screwed up and are likely killing the hardware.

btw:

Intel Core i5-10600 is too weak for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti on 1920 × 1080 pixels screen resolution for General Tasks.

This configuration has 50.6% of processor bottleneck .

The game is now playable...
