How well does this game perform on a RTX 4060 ti 16gb at 1080p?
I'm currently sitting on a GTX 1060 and desperately need an upgrade, my budget is tight and my main goal is to play this game at max settings with ray tracing and no DLSS (TXAA only) in 1080p. Does anyone here own an 4060ti? Can you tell me your framerates? Thank you in advance!

I personally wouldn’t go with a 4060. I’d go with a 4070. The 40 series is also coming out with the SUPER editions soon. Here’s a benchmark with a 4060 though.

wow...my 2070s looks better than the 4060.

Im playing @ 4k most settings ultra with DLSS and getting average 80-90fps on 4070 laptop and its 10% slower then a 4060ti desktop but i do notice it eating a LOT of CPU power as well probably because of the DLSS

It's actually very well optimized compared to a lot of other newer games *cough starfield

Will the game just not work on 1060? That's what I'm running and although the launcher opens the main menu won't load. Is that a me thing or the 1060?

Edit: nvm, it does run, just a bit stuttery.

I have a 4060 (laptop version) and I can play it at 4k resolution on ultra settings. I dont know the FPS but its fast enough that its not an issue. It seems to need the DLSS thing because if I turn that off the performance drops dramatically.

What fps are you playing it at?

it is; dlss is the only advantage.

Whatever you do, do not buy a RTX 4060 TI 16 GB. It is kind of a scam. Way to expensive and it is not nearly powerful enough to make really good use of the 16 GB VRAM. You may think what you want about AMD, but a RX 7800 XT is the much better deal if you want 16 GB VRAM in this price category. In this price class Ray tracing makes also no sense whatsoever anyway, all Nvidias GPUs below a RTX 4070 TI (or high end last gen) are too weak to use it properly without sacrificing way too much on other aspects. The RTX 4060 TI 16GB is a 3060TI with more VRAM and better DLSS.... .

Except of course you want to stay on 1080P forever, then it might be servicable. Still too expensive for what it brings to the table.

3060ti received extremely positive reviews. If you're saying that the 4060ti is just an already-good GPU with more VRAM and better DLSS, then that sounds like a recommendation to me.

Nah, not at that cost vs the competition. If there is intent to go higher in resolution in the coming years that is not the GPU to go for in my opinion. An RTX 4070 or RX 7800 XT are much better GPUs from the price/performance ratio.

The original RTX 3060 TI was certainly not bad and the RTX 4060 will have its uses. The issue is the slapped on VRAM the 16 GB RTX 4060 cannot bring to bear that often due to lack in general performance and the hefty price tag for the extra 8 GB VRAM.

I use a 4090 so I don't have to concern myself with poor people problems

3060TI has 256 bit memory bus while 4060TI only 128 bit. It's just way too slow for 16GB memory. For comparison a regular 3060 12GB has 192 bit bus and better OC options. The low/mid 40xx series cards are basically a scam. You would only buy one for DLSS3 but then in a game like Dead Space the FSR looks better. A 3060 can play most games natively on ultra with RT without needing DLSS unless your target is above 60 fps or 2k+ but for those resolutions you don't want 4060TI anyway because of its very small bus width.
