I have been having high CPU temps in the 90c as well even with 240mm AIO liquid cooling system installed. You're not alone and no it looks like there has not been an update since earlier this year.

Thanks for the response. If they ever fixed this, I'll bye this game.

Just finished a hour and half Dead Space session and my CPU was at a average of 64-66c for the entire time. Running a 'ancient' i7 8700k with 360mm Corsair AIO.

I've also been having an issue with temperatures spiking on my gaming PC's CPU up to 75 to 90 degrees C. My Ser5 Max mini PC runs from 79 to 96 degrees C on this game as well on the CPU.

For the new generations of CPUs: AMD Ryzen 3000+ or Intel 7th+ Gen, it is quite normal, that CPUs hit high temperatures at high utilisations. Most of them overclock themself. So nothing special so far.

When u want to test how stable is your setup, use a program like prime95 and test your CPU at 100% Utilisation. I bet, the most of you will hit the 100° C wall (Intel!). Maybe not, if u have watercooled the PC. It depends on which CPU u have. AMD has lower values. The X3D cached CPUs have a max temp at 89° C. The none cached 95°.

And beside that, the most of the motherboards have at the default values PBO (AMD) on or Intels equivalent . So the CPU will overclock till the temp is reached and then lower the frequency. So, these "the temp is high, what can I do or should I do something" is at new generations of CPUs quite useless.

We are not in the days back in the 20th, where the CPU dies at high temps. The new ones are designed to reach the max under 100% utilisation! They are designed to throttle themself, if they reach the max temp.

So many others said: "I have better temps in other games" or "Dead Space is the only one game where the CPU temps go "crazy" "

These arguments are still quite useless, because eyery single game out there utilize the CPU different. Many games are poorly designed, so they don't use more than 1 CPU Core.

Think of: When u are using just 1 out of 8 cores of an 8 core CPU and another game uses 4 out of 8 cores, which will produces a higher CPU temp? U don't have to be an genius to know the answer!

So the simple answer to all these questions is: If u have a stated CPU at the beginning of my text, it is normal!

I work as an IT Technican, so belive me, if not, watch technican PC Builders out there (These ones, who build PCs at work, not the ones who build a PC for the first time or believe to know, what they are doing) I mean the professionals out there! They will enlighten you.

I can play cyberpunk on highest settings on 4K. My CPS ist still between 60°C and 70°C on average. But the Dead Space Remake runs over 90°C. Nobody can tell me this is normal.

This happened to me, so I had to clean the heatsink and repaste. Went from 90° to 77°

My PC is brand new and can handle every game but this game is crazy on the CPU-usage.

no its not. this game barely touches my old 9900K. if your system really is new like you claim then return it because its defective.

Update: hey, now I have a new PC with DDR5

The Ryzen 5 7600 temps go very high very quick, between 86 and 91°. Stock cooler.

Now I have another reason to just play one chapter each day.
