Nobody plays this game anymore i supposed
Cuz the concurrent players doesn't show any numbers.
And the review count stops at 22k, hope EA won't think the game was a commercial failure.
Because i really needs 4, what happened after all the Brother Moons arrived on earth???

Everyone died. The End.

Maybe they shouldn't release broken ports and then abandon ship. That aside, player numbers will always be low for single player games and steam charts only represent a fraction on players.

It's a linear singleplayer game, my guy.
I just finished my 5th playthrough last night trying to get all achievements (I only have 2 left, Maxed out and Built to Order) but Benson's Rig won't spawn so I can't complete "you are not authorized". that being said I have a new computer coming in and when it gets here i will be streaming an uploading a bunch of dead space content, so maybe if people start streaming/recording it more, the better chance it has to remain popular

Yeah I love how kiddies have so little experience with singleplayer titles that they expect them to somehow top charts when they take like, 30hrs to complete.

Dead Space isn't CSGO. You play it for a week, you stop playing. You come back occasionally to play it again.

If you check on steam community hub of Resident Evil starts from RE4 2005 (RE5, RE6, RE7, RE2R, RE3R, RE Village) until RE4 Remake, you'll see at least more than 300 players plays the game, every single day.
While Dead Space remake has zero.

You never knew Resident Evil then. :)
Go check every community hub from every RE from RE4 (2004) until RE4 (2023) and you'll see at least 300 players were playing every day.
It's a horror game as well like Dead Space. :)
Dead Space might have small replayability while RE got lots of it, it might be the reason why RE is the most popular survival horror game.

It's a linear game, and not a long one. Stands to reason that people have already played.....and moved on.

"Concurrent players" for a single player game means jack.

Still doesn't mean much. Replayability isn't a major factor in horror shooters, end of story. If it did, it would make games that are highly replayable (PVP games, sandbox titles, MMO's, etc.) the best games in existence. It would mean Apex Legends is better than Elden Ring, and TF2 better than any of your precious Resident Evil Games. So playercount is pointless as a metric for games of this genre.

Genre's have certain aspects that are important, and others that are worthless. For example, story is a major thing in singleplayer RPG games, but absolutely worthless in PVP games. If you want to compare games, do it with respect to things significant to the horror shooter genre. Not how many players it retains. That's just the icing on the cake, not a defining factor in which cake is better. Not to mention, it's that good ol' 'argumentum ad populum' fallacy. Or in other words: Candy Crush is one of the most successful games in existence. What the majority play isn't exactly an argument.

Despite being similar games, DeadSpace and Resident Evil are incomparable in my mind. I personally prefer the RE4 Remake as a remake, but I can't decide between either game irregardless of that fact. I prefer the story of RE4 and do find it funner to replay. But I prefer the gameplay of DeadSpace in general with how innovative and satisfying it is to carve up enemies.

Yeah but player counts defines popularity, and popularity defines sales.
Just take a look at hogwarts legacy.
What i mean is, Dead Space needs more players, more buyers so EA will consider is as a success so they will continue the remake to the point Dead Space 4 are gonna be made.

Are you really comparing the RE franchise which has some of the most extensive modding of any game ever, to a modern AAA title that has next to no mod support? RE1-4 have unlimited numbers of overhaul and difficulty mods to playthrough. Dead Space Remake has just it's base game. That's just.... a really bad take. Not to mention RE games are engineered to be endlessly replayable without even modding.... and I haven't even mentioned the speedrunning and randomizers.

this.!
But like i said, this game needs to sell more so EA will take the game as successful if not, no more dead space at all later

The game is not only available on Steam, but also consoles and EA APP.
There have been 399 players (Steamcharts) in 24 hours. Now there are around 150-200.
Since Steamcharts shows only a fraction of the player base, there might be 1k-2k or even more.
Also, it's singleplayer.

... It's a single-player game. Of course it's going to be DEAD after a couple of months, people played it for the campaign, myself included. xD

Also, worry not; They've confirmed they're going to work on DS2R as well as DS3R. I REALLY hope they just tear down DS3 from the top down and make a better story from scratch. DS2 is basically perfect, but DS3, outside of its awesome crafting system, DESPERATELY needs the remake treatment more than anything, not least for its bad writing. :<
