any stutter improvements?
Glacialpunk Feb 27, 2023 @ 8:50am
no

How about fixing controller play on PC? I should not have to keep my controller disconnected, then disconnect my keyboard/mouse while the game is loading, connect my controller and only be able to re-connect my keyboard after it recognizes my controller.

I mean once I do that the controller works fine so long as I don't connect my mouse at any point. Well over a month after launch and you can't fix a very BASIC issue. Guess it wouldn't be EA if something wasn't messed up.

Patch still didn't fix the black screen, audio latency and stuttering issues

"Read on and see that I don't know what the patch notes are."

Great...

Is that site legit? the url just looks so fishy, and that "updatecrazy" was already confirmed to be making stuff up for clicks (when the patch came out later doing things they didn't "predict"(/speculate, like ability to switch rig level skin which EA posted later in their own patch notes on reddit and here), so I just don't want to give that site the clicks, and I don't think it will even have sourced authentic patch notes.

Good, they are fixing soft locks and game ending bugs like I wanted them to first. At least they have their priorities correct.

They're legit, as in they don't use made up notes, but if there are no notes it's clarified and they usually use a list of community feedback and dev comments on potential fixes (they're test them it seems too sometimes ) until the full notes are out, then they update

In this case, since EA hasn't published any notes they clarified in story but used a list of recent dev comments that they said might be included in an upcoming patch.

So these are the issues a dev commented within the last 10-20 days that would be addressed in an upcoming patch

Game-breaking bugs that stop playtrhoughs which affect Impossible runs (link) https://www.reddit.com/r/DeadSpace/comments/10x4avd/comment/j7qnzgt/?context=3

My Ch. 7 bug might be fixed?

what is the update size?
esteady1 Feb 27, 2023 @ 12:28pm
1.06 PC

(edited to remove notes, as it's not clear they are authentic)

High end system here, but I gotta say, its a lot better on my end. I stopped playing 20% in, because the stuttering was so disruptive. I've been waiting for improvement to come.

I didn't test after the patch prior to this one, as that one did not mention stutter fixes in notes. So my experience reflects the last two PC patches.

It appears importantly better on my setup. So much so, that I wish it was this way upon release, because what remains is so subtle, I don't think it would have bothered me much at at all. But since it released in disarray, now I'm conditioned to watch for any little hitch.

Window 11
SSD
4090, i9-12900
7840x1440 (triple monitor), 120hz, G-sync
32gb ram

So they literally are just speculating what the patch might have addressed? Even if they are looking at dev comments, they don't actually know until devs actually confirm what they've released.
You said nothing that's different from what "updatecrazy" seems to be doing, like they posted their patch notes of the last patch, having generic stuff like "performance fixes, rt improvements, stuttering fixes" and then EA comes out and lists "oh here are very specific detailed glitch and progression blocker fixes and you can also equip other rig levels as skins now" so this seems like exactly the same, speculation for clicks.
Any differences players might now report could just as well be placebo(/nocebo too if they are having new issues but don't take into account other factors)
