The only thing that caught me of guard in the remake was the fact that the necromorphs do not stagger.
In the remake I was constantly low on ammo except for the contact beam despite exploring a ton, it might have to do with the fact I did all of the side quests which don't seem to give you as much ammo since you're just backtracking through already looted areas and not to mention the randomly spawning enemies eating up my ammo. The enemies seem to be spongier as well (not a complaint)
Things that have been made easier for is the ATS Cannon bit (I almost rage quit several times in the original manually shooting like 10 to 20 asteroids at the same time lol). Zero Gravity have been made significantly easier now that we hover through zero gravity rather then just jumping from one spot to another (A good example of this is the placing the beacon on the asteroid level as in the original if you fudge up the timing, you basically just sit there, watching Issac slowly fly into the grinder sigh).
Things that have been made harder for me are the regenerator parts. Not cause the regenerator itself is harder but combine this with the ammo drop system, means I run out of ammo quick against something that can't be killed. Another example is the Communications puzzle part, however thats rather a minor difficulty so not an issue.
Some parts of the game are not exactly hard but very easy to screw up. Prime example for me, no usy the force-gun near the nuke part lol.
I don't know, in the original I was swimming in pulse rifle rounds that I didn't know what to do with them lol. This game, the ammo drop system is a bit harsher and wierder depending on the weapons you use. First run I used Plasma Cutter, Pulse Rifle and Force Gun, kjept having a surplus of Force ammo no matter what I used.
DS23 played better, had fewer bugs, improved controls, and much improved physics.
less objects to throw,
saw and flamethrower are weak
I've seen others say this. That's strange, because Necromorphs often stagger when I shoot them in the remake. But I am playing on Medium, so that might be why. Are you playing on Hard or Impossible? Maybe enemies stagger far less, or not at all, on the highest difficulties?
