To dev I managed to run Dead Space remake with DXVK
https://youtu.be/wPbGIXoPkrw
As title looks like the pre-compilation missed some shaders? As you can see, unlike DX12, Vulkan only stutter "once". I'm no expert, but from this run we can clearly see that Vulkan actually saved the cache so it only stutter "once". devs please look into this fix this game!

Run this on DXVK you need
Download dxvk-async https://github.com/Sporif/dxvk-async/releases
Download vkd3d-proton https://github.com/HansKristian-Work/vkd3d-proton, google "7-zip .zst" you can find 7-zip that can decompress .zst.
Put "dxgi.dll" and "D3D12.dll" in the game folder with "Dead Space.exe". create file name "dxvk.conf" at same location, open it with note book add this line "DXVK_ASYNC=1"

Some warning
1. first delete the Configuration file "ProfileOptions_profile" in "%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Dead Space (2023)\settings\steam" reset the graphics settings.
2. in-game v-sync on, game will crash without it.
3. no upscaler, even dynamic resolution scaler crashes game too.
4. only can use medium preset, any thing above medium will crash the game.
5. back to menu will crash the game.
6. there are some BIG STUTTER and FREEZE, but it only happens once.

It also looks like the FOV has been changed +1

If you're playing on steam deck the game is already being pushed through proton and made to run on vulkan. It wold explain why when playing on steam deck the game doesn't stutter at all. Sounds kinda ♥♥♥♥ but some games in a weird way are starting to run better on linux via proton than they are on native windows these days.

I didn't ask for your opinion, but thanks.

I googled 7zip zst and downloaded the mcmilk codecs for my 7zip but it still won't work, which one exactly works with this weird "zst" format?

https://github.com/mcmilk/7-Zip-zstd/releases
download the "7z22.01-zstd-x64.exe" one, decompress it with your regular 7-zip.
use 7zFM.exe, after this everything is the same as regular 7-zip.

Nevermind "Modern7z" from "tc4shell" dot com worked with 7-zip

(I did BTW also try the "7z22.01-zstd-x64.exe" and that one also gave me errors)

BTW you say "Download dxvk-async" but then link regular DXVK?
Did you mean to link this?
https://github.com/Sporif/dxvk-async/releases
Or did you mean that we should use regular DXVK?

For me it doesn't crash when I have FSR on

& My dxvk.conf file:
dxgi.maxFrameLatency = 1 dxgi.maxFrameRate = 60 dxgi.numBackBuffers = 3 dxgi.syncInterval = 1 DXVK_ASYNC=1
As you can see I disabled vsync ingame but enabled it via DXVK, feels pretty smooth.
Gonna test some more
(My system, laptop, i5-11400H 3050RTX with 4GBVRAM 16GBRAM win11)
(I have some Nvidia profile inspector tweaks, enabled the reBAR thing in the end since I see no bugs or performance degradation-- I did notice, this does break my steam overlay sadly, any way to get it back? I could check my FPS via Win+G though, seemed to stay at 60fps)

Ya I'm tempted to have a dual-boot build with unbuntu installed on a drive now

You think it would also help with UE4 titles and shader comp stutter?
