Dead space has atmosphere and art for days tho, it's more entertaining. Returnal is....an experience. Potentially far more horrifying of a premise.
Played it a lot on PS5, weak 5/10 for average human.
It's not very artistic, it's more about evoking the emotion of "listless labour."
Tbh it was very therapeutic, made me feel like I wasnt the only one who had "gotten stuck" in the world.
Always thought death stranding to be that way too for the record. But for the same reason, people find it repugnant, imo only those who have THE most nihilistic and sorrowful mindsets will really "get off" on it.
at 4k and RT enabled both Dead Space and Returnal look next gen. Dead Space has slightly better graphics maybe.
in Returnal you fight geometric figures in repetitive maps
It's certainly not game breaking and Dead Space is still a very good game but if you're getting both may as well buy Returnal and come back and get Dead Space later after a few more patches.
*Fixed.
