I doubt that is helpful..
But on the other hand, it somewhat increases the survival aspect, because in the OG DS the game throwed more ammo at me than i could blast onto enemies LOL
Please bear in mind that it is generally a very good idea to keep multiple saves and cycle through them for exactly this reason.
Before RE became more of an action game.. this was always a real possibility... spending all resources making progress impossible if there was a boss or something. In classic RE dead enemies wouldn't even drop ammo like this game does.
Start over.
I had the same issue. Plenty of money drops, but very little ammo...
Also make sure to move any other weapons to storage because the game will only drop ammo for guns you have in your inventory. So instead of having a mish mash of ammo for weapons you don't use, you'll have more than enough ammo for the single one you do, plus focusing your upgrades on just one will mean you lower you ammo expenditure due to the higher damage. If ammo is still something you're really struggling with, learn to shoot consistently at limbs since it takes a few to actually dismember necro's now, usually saves you a couple shots which adds up over time.
I tried throwing stuff on the tentacle, with no luck. Finally I saw I got one automatic save a bit earlier, and just went through again without using any ammo (which was a challenge as well).
I really like the game and got scared I had to play it through again, uhh.

I understand that the limits of the ammo is part of the game and difficulty of it, but this seems to me more like blocker and poor design. Because you just need few shots to kill it, and you can't run or pass it, like with other enemies, since it is a time event.
Funny thing I found a thread somewhere from 14 years ago with the same problem in the same place :P
In all, I managed to pass through, I am more careful with the ammo and have more then one save! Thank you all for the help! ^^
I'm glad you made it past that point. I don't know what difficulty you are on but, the ammo drops in this is bad. It's nearly all credits and very little ammo. Not like the original at all, at least on lower diff...
