Does anyone know the lore behind these plushies?

I don't know what they mean but I've also found a penguin a while back. Cant remember where. Have you noticed that they all have different badges on their jackets. I thought the T-Rex might have been a battlefield reference but now I'm not sure.

I saw mention that the plushies are characters from an animated kids show in the Dead Space universe. I don't remember where it was mentioned which game/movie/comic that the show was shown in, but apparently that's what they are from

I thought I heard somewhere that there was a toy line in universe, in which the plushies were made of animals that are now extinct on earth.

Those baby dolls are found in a number of places throughout the ship. You can kinesis module them and launch them down the tramway. These animal plushies cannot be interacted with in any way whatsoever.

There is definitely a penguin one I noticed as well. Would also love to know more about why they're there and if there is some sort of hidden easter egg.

its explained in dead space 2 afair. It doesnt fit in dead space 1 though, since these plushies only appear after that marker religion was established on earth.

I just found pengiun in tramway storage room in the beginning where you get statis. There were also 2 other toys in the hallways under the tram. Stuffed Bear and a Doll. After bringing each to the room with pengiun something happens. The second toy spawns 2 enemies, the third one gave some musical cue, but not sure what it did.
